Ah, I should have looked into artwork/resources before posting, I'm not sure there is that much, I might be wrong, if you can't find any, then not to worry, I was just seeing if the show qualified or not, it wouldn't be no great loss if can't find any resources to make any covers :D

Thanks though :)

Back to S2 of The Strain, the red veiny worm/virus on the front looks great, unless you zoom in to the cover you don't see the detail or depth you've put into them, from a distance it just looks like roots of a tree or the red weed from War of the Worlds :D

Not being picky though, but I'm sure the worms are transparent or white in the show, but you could say they are engorged with blood similar a leech, turning them red, not sure they do that in the show though :D

I've also taken a closer look at the TT, it looks like bloody & water pooled on stainless steel, brilliant effect :D

I'll have to see what they print like when we have all 4 seasons :)

Thanks so much again

Thanks for taking the time to look for the smaller details... it's something I always appreciate about your posts.

As for the worm color, I think I'll classify the red worms under "creative liberties." I thought I saw some promo material where the worms were red, but maybe I was looking at the long tongues. Either way, I think changing them to their proper white color would make them stand out more, and I don't really want them to be a focal point that draws attention away from the characters above. At the moment, the main reason that they're on there at all is to put something in the boring area that is taken up by the actors' torsos.

If it helps, just tell yourself that the worms on my covers are actually white, but there's a red light on them. :D :D :D

I'll look into it. I have heard of the show, but assumed it was just inspired by the Dracula/Van Helsing mythology... I wasn't aware it had roots in a graphic novel (although it seems like everything does nowadays). If I can find decent resources, I'll see if I can make some covers happen for it.
The show Van Helsing is based on the comic Helsing from Zenescope Entertainment. Though technically a comic, it is Zenescope, yikes. LOL

No problem, I like taking a closer look at the covers.

I can understand why you didn't use white worms, it would contrasted the rest of the cover, I don't know I may have seen promo artwork that showed red worms, the comic book may have depicted the worms as red also, it just might have been changed in the show to white worms to give them a little more graphic depiction, to make them stand out, otherwise it might have looked like blood spewing from the Masters mouth to infect people (sorry a little spoiler)

I like the "creative liberties" classification, one reason I suggested that they could be engorged with blood

Whatever the color they are either in the show, comicbook or your cover, they look great

Also it's a pity there aren't any really good promo images of the Master or Mr. Quinlan, they would have looked good on a cover :)

Anyway thank you again for the Season 3 covers :)
