Thanks everyone for the comments!
- When viewing only the spine on a shelf, I think it's nice that the image acts a "preview" for the front cover.
- For a lot of titles, it's tough to find suitable artwork for the front... let alone a different image for the spine.
- I'm lazy and don't want to create something else for the spine.
The reason "Into the Spider-Verse" has a different image on the spine than the front is simply because the "side view" of Miles Morales on the front cover doesn't work well on the spine. The way his body is turned only allows for his head to appear on the spine and then it's just a lot of the background. I really liked the image for the front, but decided to swap it out for a "front view" on the spine. This solution looks better when lining up the cover with all of the other "Spider-Man" movie spines in the collection.
And you're right... there's only a few other covers in the collection where the spine image is different from the front cover. Let's see who can find them all first!

I try to keep the spine image the same as the front cover, for several reasons...Darksaber wrote:QUOTE (Darksaber @ Feb 9 2019, 02:01 PM) Great looking covers, the TT and back logo look awesome, it's nice to see a version of a character on the spine that isn't on the front, there can't be too many of those in the collection

IGN just did a feature on their favorite non-superhero comic book movies

Reading through it made me think about how much great work you have done for these films through the years. Keep up the awesome work, Kernie!
