Late to the party, but..

Brilliant and both seasons thanks :) I like the logo/poster on the back, I bet you were racking to brains on what to use as a logo :) nice idea the wanted poster :D I have watched the first season but don't remember much, I'll have to rewatch it again.

Thanks so much again :)

Thanks joelazza, Bazzah, garsted, MCUDan, cas, and Darksaber! I'm glad you like the new covers! :D :D :D

Some other housekeeping business to share...

I've finally taken the time to update the Comic Collection Spine Preview image that can be viewed in full-size by clicking on the small version below (and it's always accessible through the Collection Count link in my signature).

[attachment=40485:spines.jpg]

I've reworked it a bit to include 100 DVD covers in a row instead of the previous 50... just to make the image a little less tall. I used to post this in the thread itself, but it started to take up too much space.

Updating this Spine Preview image has become somewhat of a chore. Can anyone suggest (and help me to implement... or possibly do the whole darn thing) a better way of doing this? I've considered trying to create a MYSQL database that would link to each individual spine image and allow the users to filter which spines they wanted to see. But that would require me going back to some of my old programming techniques and I've quite frankly moved away from all that stuff over the years... and I'm not sure I would have the time to do it, or that the time spent doing it would be worth it. If someone with greater knowledge than me has any ideas of how to do this relatively easily and would be willing to help, I'm all ears. In the meantime, I suppose this giant JPEG image will suffice.

Also, I've switched the previous Comic Collection Database PDF file into a Google Sheets file that is accessible to anyone with the link (which is also always accessible from my signature). Obviously it is "View Only" and only I can update it. Not only will this make any updates to the spreadsheet immediately available to others, but it will allow viewers to apply their own temporary filters for sorting the list. I hope this proves more useful that the old PDF.

Thanks again to everyone who continues to support this collection! Your kind words of encouragement are truly what keeps this ship afloat! :D

All the best,

- K

Sorry, I don't really have any ideas or knowledge on how to make the spine preview easier, but for the whole collection itself, I just have to say WOW! It looks so good and everything seems to be perfectly placed on each cover (spine).

Kernie's Weekly Cover Update #8: Batman: The Animated Series on Blu-ray!
[Click image to view in gallery]

Finally got around to converting Batman: The Animated Series to Blu-ray!

The conversion was a little tricky, because Warner Bros. initially released the series in 4 DVD "Volumes," each containing 4 discs. Years ago when this collection first started, I made covers to match these retail DVD's.

For the Blu-ray release, WB decided to release the entire series in one package (in both Deluxe and Standard packaging), containing 9 discs for the series itself, 1 bonus disc of documentaries, 1 disc for Mask of the Phantasm movie, and 1 disc for the SubZero movie. They also separated the show into "Seasons" instead of "Volumes." Season 1 contains the first 65 episodes from the 1992-1993 Fox broadcasts across 5 discs, Season 2 contains 20 episodes from the 1994-1995 Fox broadcasts across 2 discs, and Season 3 contains the revamped "Kids' WB" episodes from 1997-1999 that is often known as "The New Batman Adventures" across 2 discs.

So here's what I did...

Batman: The Animated Series: Season 1 is available as a 170-pixel-spine cover intended for 6-disc Blu-ray cases. The 5 discs labels have also been provided.

Batman: The Animated Series: Season 2 & 3 are combined into a 170-pixel-spine cover intended for a 6-disc Blu-ray case. The 2 disc labels for Season 2, the 2 disc labels for Season 3, and the Bonus Disc label are provided.

I ignored Mask of the Phantasm and SubZero because I have already made covers/labels for these movies as separate releases.

Unfortunately, WB has been rather inconsistent with their release of this show between DVD and Blu-ray, and the broadcast history of the show was rather chaotic as well (between B:TAS, The Adventures of Batman & Robin retitle, and The New Batman Adventures episodes). It was difficult to decide the best way to make covers for this release in a way that would be most beneficial to the majority of users. Hopefully this way of doing things works for most people. :D :D :D

P.S. Here's the cover for Ant-Man and the Wasp...
