Fantastic covers all around, I'll be downloading them all when I get a chance!
Also, The Gifted is surprisingly good. I had low expectations with Fox, but they really impressed me with this series.
Thank you very much for the comment... it's great to hear that you enjoy starting your day with my covers!Hearttlight wrote:QUOTE (Hearttlight @ Sep 8 2018, 12:58 AM) These new cover posts have been the highlight of my mornings. Visiting this thread is the first thing I do every morning.
I was probably too harsh in some of my assessments... I do enjoy watching most of the shows, but with such oversaturation of comic-shows, it's almost a chore to keep up with everything... especially the 20+ episode seasons of the CW/DC shows. I enjoy the lighter tone of Flash/Supergirl/Legends and I'm looking forward to the Batwoman series, but it's tough to find time some weeks, especially to watch a "filler" episode about a lame villain-of-the-week.Darksaber wrote:QUOTE (Darksaber @ Sep 8 2018, 02:13 AM) Your assessment of the shows is pretty spot on and I agree with most, I differ on a few, I easily get bored with some of them and as Kernie said about Gotham, they soon turn into background noise.
Me too! Knowing that so many people are still interested is truly what keeps me going!Bazzah wrote:QUOTE (Bazzah @ Sep 8 2018, 05:37 AM) Awesome addition. And I just love seeing how much people enjoy your collection!
You're welcome and thank you! I have a few more covers to go... after that... who knows?JollyRoger wrote:QUOTE (JollyRoger @ Sep 8 2018, 11:53 AM) This thread just keeps getting better! Thank you so much, kernie! I'm also blown away every day by this extravaganza that just keeps on coming! Thank you again, Sir!
Thanks! Unfortunately, summer will have to end some time.Predator Ranger wrote:QUOTE (Predator Ranger @ Sep 8 2018, 01:40 PM) I love fall, but these covers are making me wish summer would never end![]()
I think it’s safe to say that most average members here (the subscribers who only use the gallery and not the forums), don’t even consider the time and effort that all HiRes designers put into their work. Whether it’s ignorance (they have never used Photoshop) or entitlement (they just expect everything to magically appear as soon as an early trailer drops), I think people forget that every artist spends hours finding the right images, cutting out bodies, masking windblown hair, cloning areas that are missing or covered up, matching the color balance between images, arranging all elements in an interesting layout, and making sure that all of the text/specs/legals of the DVD/Blu-ray are accurate. It’s not just me... we all make great stuff with subtleties that unfortunately go largely unnoticed.Bazzah wrote:QUOTE (Bazzah @ Sep 9 2018, 05:13 AM) Awesome. I wonder if people appreciate just how well you put these together. It isn't just about the overall look of the cover. It is about the skill involved blending, cutting, cloning, colouring, lighting etc that really impresses me.
