The Comic Book Collection by Kernie
I'm sure when he does return in the near future, he'll provide covers for lots of stuff that people have been hoping for... but not exactly everything that people have been hoping for (because everything is based on a comic now)... which means that he is a failure and a disappointment to us all.Bazzah wrote:QUOTE (Bazzah @ Aug 2 2018, 01:16 PM) Yeah, where is Kernie? I want Riverdale now! I am fed up with waiting for new custom Blu-ray covers from this guy![]()
Doesn't he know that Black Panther came out in theaters in February, and on DVD/Blu-ray in May?!?

Thanks! Glad you like the new Thor covers!Punisherchad wrote:QUOTE (Punisherchad @ Aug 2 2018, 01:36 PM) What a tease! LOL! Infinity War comes out in 2 weeks! LOL! I just cut some covers over the weekend and got them on. Those redesigned Thor covers are sick! I'm just glad to you are alive and kicking.![]()
I'm just going to come right out and say it to avoid any future disappointment... no teases, no jokes, dead serious... sadly, I do NOT have anything started yet for either Avengers: Infinity War or Ant-Man and the Wasp. Mainly because I want them to be as awesome as can be... and right now, I don't feel the materials are available to do that.
Those Infinity War posters are so cluttered that I can't extract the characters from them in a clean way that I can rearrange them and do something unique with them. My Age of Ultron keyart took forever, and Infinity War is twice the amount of characters. That being said, I do intend to make a cover for it as soon as some sort of layered PSD file of the poster becomes available (if it ever does). I don't mind masking characters from a flat poster myself, but it's so tedious and time-consuming (because I'm OCD about it) that it really slows down the process of making a cover.
If anyone out there reading this has access to Infinity War or Ant-Man and the Wasp layered PSD posters (or for that matter, layered materials for any sort of comic property... DC films, CW shows, Lego DC, Marvel animated, etc., anything), please PM me... your help would be most appreciated not only by me but by the members of this forum who would like to see more covers in a timelier manner!
Thanks for reading this!

I watched that Pop Quiz video on YouTube from your High School, is it? And I really enjoyed watching it. Some very tough questions in between!
I must say I find it extremely cool that Comic Books/movies and whatnot, as a part of American Pop Culture is in the curriculum of the Academic world. Truly deserving too, I might add.
I always wondered about your seemingly encyclopedic knowledge about Marvel/DC/comic book super heroes stemmed from. Now I know! You must be a great teacher to have in class, Andrew

Thank you very much for the compliments! The "Geek Mythology" segments are something that a small group of students and I have been producing. We only have six installments so far, but we spent most of last school year developing the concept, graphic style, and production process. We hope to do more this upcoming school year. The pop quiz ones are fun and get more of our student body involved, but I'd like to do more videos like the "History of Captain America," I've always found it fascinating how comic book characters and their storylines can be traced to real-world events and influences (Cap = WW2, Fantastic Four = the space race, Hulk = atomic bomb testing, X-Men = civil rights, Superman = American immigrants in the early 1900s, and so on and so on...). I'm so glad you took the time to watch it and I'm even happier that you enjoyed it! Thanks so much!JollyRoger wrote:QUOTE (JollyRoger @ Aug 4 2018, 06:46 AM) I watched that Pop Quiz video on YouTube from your High School, is it? And I really enjoyed watching it. If you are using PhotoShop, use Save For Web (Shift+Ctrl+Alt+S) and save as jpg with very high quality. That will remove any unnecessary data and drastically reduce the size of the file. If it is still too large, then the dimensions are very likely too big. Try reducing the resolution to a maximum of 2500px.Punisherchad wrote:QUOTE (Punisherchad @ Aug 5 2018, 05:14 AM) I found character posters too but they aren't layered. Uploaded that one to resources. I found some good Ant Man and The Wasp art but I'm not sure how best to upload it and stay under 10MB.
