Just picked up Ragnarok; can't wait to replace the standard cover with yours :lsmile:

I signed up for this site years ago specifically for your covers, and I renewed my sub minutes ago to download your latest. I look forward to all of your future covers, whenever the time/patience/desire strikes you. Awesome work as always, and best of luck with the family!

Great additions to the awesome set Kernie! I agree about Google adjusting their image search, so annoying but suppose it's to help stop copyright.

Kernie, love your covers. What you can, when you can... And if you can't, that's okay too. Starting a family is a big deal and most of us understand and support you.

Sure, it is sad, because it is your work that led me to this site, but sooner or later everything comes to an end.

I wish all the best to you and your family.
And as always, your covers are great, thank you so much for all the covers you've done.

Well mate you've had a bloody good run, you've achieved more than anyone could have hoped for, bet you never thought you would have made 753 Dvd Covers, 341 Blu-ray covers and the countless Labels.

At first if I remember correctly, you where just going to make covers for the early Marvel Animated series and perhaps the DC animated series, well 10 years or so later I've spent what you could call a small fortune trying to fill these covers and I think I'm only around 7 short of the current dvd total.

I was beginning to run out of shelve space, so perhaps it might be a blessing that you maybe finishing, it's sad it's true and I especially will miss seeing your new covers, and to a different type of sad that I've tried to fill each of those covers :D

Anyhow Thanks for each and ever cover you've created,

Now to a quick review of the latest offerings :)

Thor: Ragnarok what can I say I'm not disappointed in the cover at all, I think you've done a really great job with the resources you've had to work with, the keyart looks amazing, and seeing them all lined up like that, brilliant.

The brighter background doesn't phase me, and I for one wouldn't complain about it at all, I think the studio went a little overboard with the in your face over the top colours they used. Yes, the film is brighter, funnier and probably the best of the trilogy, but I think they went a little too far with the advertising colour scheme, what you have created adds a little colour to reflect the film, but toned down those colours to fit in with the other two covers, excellent work on the TT, Thanks.

The Tick I still have the series to watch, so I can't judge what that is like, but the cover looks great, nice keyart, good looking TT and back logo, I'm not sure what's the significance of the spoons, but I suspect when I watch the series I'll get it :)

Fantastic work on both covers, and again I'll miss downloading them, used to get a little excited when you released a new batch, but as Merdec said
QUOTE
sooner or later everything comes to an end.[/quote]You have your family to think about, we can't expect you to drop everything each time a new series or film is released just to make a new cover or two.

So I wish you and your family well, they grow up so fast, so don't miss a second, but...... if you still feel like keeping your hand in I doubt we'll complain lol.

Thanks yet again, your really deserve this :award:

So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish :D

Thanks everyone (bajeeza, VincentLupo, joelazza, Heartlight, cas, Bazzah, stampe, Predator Ranger, sauron, garsted, merdec, and Darksaber) for the kind words!

Heartlight, I really appreciate the offer to help create my keyart, but that's the most enjoyable part of the job for me. It's either perfectionism, narcissism, or insanity, but I like to do everything myself. The help I could use would be in obtaining high-resolution resources. If anyone has any access to layered or textless materials, please PM me.

Darksaber, thank you so much for the eulogy but I'm not completely done... just drastically scaling back. I'll do my best to do the major releases but stuff that doesn't interest me may fall by the wayside. Maybe I'll reduce my workload to Marvel/DC only, with the occasional big release from a third-party comic company here and there. Honestly, I'm not quite sure just what I'm going to do in the future, but I know that something has to give and I have to cut back on how much time I spend on these covers.

Long story short... if I can do a cover quickly and easily, then I'll do it. If it's a title that I REALLY want to make a cover for (like Black Panther and Infinity War), then I'll do it. If it's a cover for something like, say Fear the Walking Dead: Season 3 (a show that I don't watch and didn't care for when I did check it out) is going to take 12 hours to create, then I probably won't do it.

To put even more simply... I'll do what I want to when I want to do it. If I don't do it, then I'm sorry to disappoint.

I guess that's the best way to explain where things are at the moment. :D :D :D

Honestly Kernie, no one should ever expect more than that from any artist. I'd also like to point out that you have never disappointed.
