When two things happen:

1) When my 8-week-old son gives me any free time to work on new covers (translation: possibly not for a while yet).
2) When someone is able to help me with some layered PSD's of the Thor: Ragnarok posters. With the limited time I will have, I don't want to spend it painstakingly cutting out characters from flat JPEG posters. Pulling the characters out of a layered PSD file saves infinite(y war) amounts of time.

:D :D :D
WilderMike wrote:QUOTE (WilderMike @ Jan 26 2018, 05:43 AM) As a big fan or your work, and not just the comic covers, I have never been able to use them as I would like as most of my collection is steelbooks. I mainly use the covers in my movie catalogue program, I have posted images of these in the past. But now thanks to my awesome wife I can use them. She made me some spines to go on the steelbooks. Her is the first 3.

The first 2 are magnets and the 3rd is a sticker. We will be making more and I'll show them off.

Big thank you for this amazing set, and congratulations on the addition to your family.

Mike

Oh my god... the beauty! I too prefer to buy as much as possible in steelbook so I totally understand the inability to use custom covers... but the fact that you're going so far as to modify your steels with my spine art is so overwhelmingly flattering and awesome. I'm honored to think that you enjoy my covers so much that would actually replace a steelbook spine with them! Thank you so much for posting these (and for posting previous pics of your collection).

While I don't have much time at the moment, this really encourages me to find some time to keep making new covers! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You rock (and so does your wife)! :D :D :D

Hey everyone... by sneaking away from my newborn son for twenty minutes here and there, I was finally able to finish some new covers!

I was hoping to have this one done much sooner, but thankfully* I've had numerous PM's reminding me that I haven't done Thor: Ragnarok yet. I was holding out hope that layered PSD's of the posters would become available and I could make some custom keyart with a bit more ease, but unfortunately those layered materials never appeared. So I managed to cobble something together from the various resources that were floating around the internet (no thanks to Google's changing to their image search feature... grrr).
* Sarcasm

Anyway, here's Thor: Ragnarok in Blu-ray and DVD.

And a look at all three Thor keyarts. I added a bit more color to Ragnarok's background to reflect the film's brighter, more colorful aesthetic and tone... please don't complain about this minor lack of consistency ;) ...

I was also able to finish covers for Season 1 of Amazon's The Tick series. I had these covers basically done since the summer, but realized that Amazon wasn't premiering the second half of the show until February, so I needed to wait for the final episode list.

As far as adding any additional new covers... I can't make any promises. My family obviously comes first now and I should probably start taking better care of my own health (maybe instead of sitting in front of my computer, I should take a jog or a bike ride). What I'm saying is that I'll probably make covers for Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. Maybe... maybe I'll do some of the Marvel/DC TV shows and direct-to-video movies. At this point, with the slow death of physical media, the dwindling need for custom covers, the lack of layered PSD resources, along with my own personal situation... it's becoming more and more difficult to justify the amount of time I spend on these covers.

I'm not saying I'm quitting for good, but I'm going to drastically scale back what gets added to this collection. That might disappoint and anger some folks and I'm sorry for that, but it's what I feel I have to do.

To those who still continue to PM me with requests and questions about when the cover for [insert movie/TV/animated title here] will be made... please stop. I won't respond. Bugging me won't make it happen any faster. If a cover doesn't get made... it doesn't get made and the world will still turn. :D

Thanks to those who patiently wait for new covers and still enjoy this old template of mine. :D :D :D

Kernie, thanks so much for these amazing covers! And thank you for finding the time to work on those. It was only just barely released, so you're not all that late. My copy survived perfectly well sitting on the shelf with its original cover for a week.

Is there anything I can do to help? I'm not nearly at your skill level, but if you have time to supply me with some instructions and resources, I expect I'd be more than capable to at least make some keyarts for you. If you want, anyway.
