I like the new background better. It is a little low quality, but it shouldn't take too much too clean it up

I'm guessing the background is supposed to resemble the suit? If you take a look at the suit in the gallery, you'll see that the pattern is going around the suit in two lines instead of one, also the spider is beveled (3D) and not flat. The texture you are using now, looks kinda like a grunge texture and not fabric, which is what the suit is made of. You can take a look at this cover here from a very talented artist named: Heirofthedog, it should give you some pointers if you're looking to achieve somewhat the same as he did.

Cheers mate, gonna try and find a close up of the suit used in the new film. Its defo not coming out as good as that above though haha.

New suit has a more textured look with the webbing inset not embossed and a new logo, I traced it out in illustrator a few days ago and added a large version of that to the resources if your interested.
