I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm not sure if this is working.
On the poster you took Spiderman from he is lying in front of the Manhattan Skyline and his pose is working. But in front of "only" a texture I'm not sure if that's the right image to use.

If you decide to go on with this I'm with sauron about the background texture.

Personally I prefered the texture from the very first one.

The problem with the first one is that its the pattern/texture of a different Spider-man suit. The spines are not on the new one, its more of a web effect.

I haven't seen the movie either. I dont really want to go with a poster as there will be lots of people doing that. Hes literally just lying down listening to music so I think the only relevance of the Skyline is the location. I think the image just represents him relaxing in a Spider-Man chilled out way.

Cheers for all the comments, gonna work on it a bit more when I get a chance.

I like it but is it just the preview or is quality a little low?

I`m not 100% sure. It has a blotchy type effect to it. Would you say its low quality or just the texture?

Hmmm looks low quality to me... could possibly recreate it in Illustrator and then add some grain or a texture to it in Photoshop?
