Thank you for the additional information. I have added a point to quality and included a couple of words about elements being technically proficient. Alas, knowledge that it was a rushed cover they didn't intend to make doesn't really change the fact that it looks like a rushed cover they didn't intend to make.

Maybe it's just my own bitterness of losing so many times, but seeing that as an entry into a carefully judged competition was actively frustrating. In that regard, I'm thankful to EL and MM for not entering with something similarly inert (and automatically getting into the semi-finals with it).

Also, to explain further, this person did not intend on entering the competition. They only added a cover as they knew we did not have enough entries. So they were only doing me a favour to fill in the numbers

I am just letting you know, not to make you change your comments, but so you can take these facts into consideration. It is entirely up to you what comments you leave
