The obligatory second place huh? haha, thank you for the offer. Let's see what happens with the entries and go from there. It is good to know we have you on hand to even things up
HRC League Judges Discussion
It is looking a little better. We now have 4 entries, and I am expecting at least a couple more. I like your idea of skipping a round too.

If you have 7 tomorrow and need one more, I'd be up for making the jump. Someone like ctaulbee or bpmford could easily take my place as a judge.Bazzah wrote:QUOTE (Bazzah @ Jun 4 2016, 03:20 PM) We now have five entries in totalIf you enter Tim, we will need another judge.
Backup idea if you don't get 7:
We judge the entries, the Top 2 make the "semi-finals."
Run the competition again next month, and we get 2 more from there. (Open to anyone, including those who tried this month but didn't make the Top 2)
Then, you're immediately into the semi-final round.
Alternate backup idea:
All 5 this month automatically make the Top 8. Run the competition again next month, and -- assuming you get more than three entries -- run a popular vote, with the 3 high scorers forming the rest of the Top 8.
Alternate alternate backup idea:
Cancel the larger competition -- the winner of these ~5 entries gets credited with a HiResChallenge or COTM win.
Some good ideas Tim. We now have 6 solid entries. I will wait until tomorrow to see if we get any more But I think we will just skip the opening round with the public vote, and move on to round 2. If we do get one more today, then I will ask someone else to judge and use your entry?
It is a shame it hasn't been more popular. If we decide to do something similar in the future, we may have to reconsider how round one works. We could say more than eight entries goes to public vote for top 8. Under 8 entries, if even number, goes straight to round 2. Under 8 entries, if odd number, goes to public vote to remove one cover?

Well, it's shaping up now.
What's in it for the obligatory 14th place?

My dad's in the hospital, so I may be in and out the next couple of days, Darren. I'll check in when I can.
