It's great to see you back in action, Brad! You're already returning to your cover maestro ways.

If you end up keeping the hand print separate, perhaps you could actually have the bottom of the title fade into the bg/mist?

You've done an outstanding job keeping everything in check -- it's always tough to find that balance between having things "pop" versus going so far that your white and black values get blown out -- but maybe just a tiny bit more contrast?

I played around with adding a little fog to the bottom but then saw your earlier post... you're right, it makes sense that they'd be running away from mist rather than toward it. Alternatively, fading to black wouldn't really make sense, since you have the lights from the car. Hmm... What if you were to add a little mist, a little darkness, and then rim light around the side of the characters? That might add a little extra punch of atmosphere to what you've built.

I'm not too keen on the hand in the TT think it makes it look like The Mast or The M ST.

Thanks Guys!!

Punisher... Yea, it definitely shows much better when some colour is added back!

Bunny... Great to hear from you buddy! I'm so glad you suggested and showed what you ideas were. Here is what I came up with... Lower area darkened, rim light added, subtle fog added.

As for the title fading into the mist, that was my very first idea. The result however, I did not like at all. This was because of the detail behind the title with all the tentacles on the creature. That detail coupled with the fog fading, made the whole thing very messy. This is why I went to adding the fog into the TT as an element.

I think I've decided to keep the hand in the TT in blood. But am still not convinced on the colour additions to the characters as well... But they stay for now, haha!!

And thanks Sauron... yea, I'm still not 100% on it... maybe 87&%, haha!

But I also like it with the hand on the truck and the original TT too!

I like the "bloody" hand as the I as well. I also like the added mist or fog that Dojo did. Is it possible to add a little color to the rest as well? Or at least a little to the car?

Thanks Speed!

I'm trying to have as little colour as possible, as my cover is designed based off the black and white version of the film (the best version). This is why I am even still hesitant on the characters being in part colour.

So, while I ponder the last few changes, and await any other recos that may come for the front and spine... I decided to start fiddling with the back.

All my cutouts are preliminary for the sake of layout design, but these are my ideas so far for the top synopsis area.

This update is more just to see if I am heading in a good direction before I start refining it... So, thoughts?

I'm not being much help, that said I like that last front but I kind of liked the hand on the windshield too... see not much help, lol.

The back layout looks like a good start buddy.
