Believe me... Kernie never do anything with low resolution or poor quality! But both gif and first preview are high quality.xshoty wrote:QUOTE (xshoty @ Apr 15 2016, 02:58 AM) With the GIF i do admit your technique is awesome ! i love it ! The only thing bugged me is your background maybe it's just me or because the preview quality is not on top but the background look in poor quality. What about added some shadow on the right side of Iron man buddy a bit like Captain america on his left side !
Can't wait to see the evolution of this one m8 !
Marvel Cinematic Universe Covers
Thanks, xshoty, Bazz, Arkflip, and sauron!
As for the right side of Iron Man, I'll make a few tweaks, but I will most likely crop the majority of that out on the final cover.
I can assure you that the background is high quality. The issues that you are seeing in the previews are from the JPEG and GIF compression. I wanted to keep the file size of the animated GIF smaller so it loaded faster. In order to do that, I had to compress it considerably, which caused dithering and banding in the gradients, particularly on the background.xshoty wrote:QUOTE (xshoty @ Apr 14 2016, 08:58 PM) With the GIF i do admit your technique is awesome ! i love it ! Excellent work, love the progress gif, it's always great to see how your artwork evolves, the one thing I could suggest about a cover design is, since all three films feature different time periods as you suggested the only thing really to stay constant is Cap's uniform meaning the stars and stripes red, white and blue.
I don't mean to use the American Flag, but the symbols from it and caps suit, I'm not sure how I would go about including the shapes though.
Just trying to throw out an idea

We're on the same page. I was thinking about doing something that evokes stars/stripes without necessarily using the literal flag.Darksaber wrote:QUOTE (Darksaber @ Apr 15 2016, 09:01 AM) Excellent work, love the progress gif, it's always great to see how your artwork evolves, the one thing I could suggest about a cover design is, since all three films feature different time periods as you suggested the only thing really to stay constant is Cap's uniform meaning the stars and stripes red, white and blue.
