Sparks and Rain

Hey guys ! :D

I always wanted use fire sparks and rain but i never find a good png image or a good technique with brushes too realize awesome rain or sparks effect ?

Maybe one of you have good tips or ressource for me :D ?

easiest way i did it for my Long Kiss Goodnight cover was using a sparks image with a black background
and then changing the blend mode to lighten (may change depending on your background colour)

image i used resolution is alot higher sized it down for preview purposes.

That's also how i usually do it, as for rain there are pngs and filters that work but i haven't played much with the rain :p

If the background is black or White I use Zantashas layer channel cutout. I Think this tutorial is somewhere here at this forum. In this way you remove the background. The result may not work on Everything, but It´s Worth a try.
