So it's been quite a while since I've done a WIP, and even longer since I've actually finished one, but I'm hoping to get back into it with a follow-up to my 2012 Avengers cover.

Admittedly, I'm a bit rusty and nothing is quite gelling to my liking with this design. Maybe I'm being too slavish to my previous cover's layout, or maybe I'm struggling to find good resources (besides character illustrations, there's not a lot in the way of usable promo materials for this one yet).

Cap still needs to go between Iron Man and Thor, with a variety of Avengers characters filling in the surrounding space. Any suggestions would be welcome and anyone who would be willing to share some good resources (character art, promos, stills, etc.) would be most appreciated.

My previous Avengers cover seemed to snap into place quite easily, but this one so far has been a bit of a struggle.

Here's what I have so far (it's just a start and nothing's locked in place just yet). Be gentle, it's been a while. :D :D :D

It will be tought to put all character lol ! But i'm sure you'll find a way !!! I'm so happy to see a new WIP from you plus for this movie ! I have no suggestion for the moment, cant wait to see more :D !

Awesome start bud, this will look great on my shelf near the first one.

EDIT: do you have access to customaniacs? They have a few promo images available, lemme know if you need them. And don't forget to ask Jpeg at MG, he's the resources master!

I have access at both sites and I've been scouring the internet for anything I can find for Age of Ultron. The best resources currently available are actually illustrations of the characters, which doesn't really fit well with the photos I want to use. In fact, Iron Man and War Machine on my cover are actually well-photographed action figures, that's how much I'm straining for decent photo-realistic "action" poses of the heroes on this one. Disney just doesn't seem as generous with publicity materials for this film as they have in the past.

Jpeg's my hero. My work would be nothing without his help. He's constantly supplying me with some of the finest resources out there for my comic collection and I've had the poor guy on the lookout for Ultron stuff for the last few weeks. I'm sure when something does surface he'll send it my way, I just got a little impatient and wanted to get this cover moving.

Great start! Your 2012 cover was amazing so I will be following this thread for sure!

Will this cover, just like your 2012 cover, also double as an "Ultimate SHIELD archive" but for the Marvel phase 2 movies?

As said above, great to see a WIP from you. Didnt realise the Iron Man image was an action figure, but that maybe why it looks odd, it seems a bit thin to me, like he has been on a drastic diet, apart from that looks like its gonna be another stunna

Wow can't believe it was in 2012 the first avengers cover was made! This one is looking great so far, does Thor have some sort of effect on him?

Not sure if this attached image will help? I don't think they're real image but looks close enough
