Agent Carter is decent. A fun eight-episode mini-series that hints at the beginnings of Jarvis, the Winter Soldier program, the Black Widow academy, and more. My main problem with it is the problem I have with all prequels... we know where it's going, which lessens the dramatic tension. We know who won't die and where they will end up. It's fun to watch the journey, but knowing the destination makes it less intriguing.
While we're on the subject, Agents of SHIELD is showing improvement. This season's darker tone has worked well and I'm glad they're utilizing the Marvel Universe more (Gen. Talbot, Mockingbird, Crusher Creel, Mr. Hyde, Quake, and the Terrigen Mists).
Flash has been the most fun new series this season and it's not afraid to embrace it's comic-book roots. Other than the boring Barry/Iris subplot, it's been an excellent and light-hearted show. Arrow has lost me a bit since last season... lingering on boring storylines with Sara and Thea and giving us a woefully underwhelming casting choice for Ra's Al Ghul (the guy exudes no authority or menace).
Unfortunately, haven't seen Constantine or iZombie. I gave Gotham a shot, but it suffers the same prequel problem I mentioned above. It also seems like the showrunners don't really care about the source material and just throw Batman characters into the show to boost ratings.
Sorry for the long post, I haven't ranted in a while.
[/quote]I must be in the minority for daredevil cause it didn't thrill me,at least not until the last episode. i enjoyed Vincent d'onofrio as Wilson Fisk. The fights scenes were great too but overall i wasn't amazed by daredevil at all.
I was skeptic on Agent Carter at first and while its not the best show, i enjoyed. I kinda like seeing how shield was being built while cap was still frozen. Hayley Atwell is great in her role, shes the only thing that keeps the showing interesting imo.
The Flash is by far my favorite new series, the amount of characters throw into season 1 is fantastic by a giant comic fan like myself. Overall i absolutely love The Flash, its one of the few shows that keep on the edge of my seat when the end on a cliffhanger.
Arrow is my 2nd favorite superhero show on tv right now. Other than the atom being an iron man wannabe i really enjoy the other, i have for every season so far. I love everything about it.
Gotham is a hit and a miss, it feels more like a detective story that took elements from the Batman Universe. its a nice concept but it would have been better if they started off with Bruce Wayne as a kid and the fast forward to Bruce Wayne as a teenager coming into his own. that would have been cool. Its hard cause we know most of the villians don't really come around till Batman hits the scene and they're trying hard to make it a non superhero show with superhero villians we all know and love and when they advertise some of these characters
they pitch them as the characters they are to become many yrs from now, such as penguin, poison ivy, catwoman, joker, riddler and more to come. But over all its not the worst comic related show out there.
