I've said it many time but I love your covers and always look forward to what you produce. The comic collection is the best set by far or any other collection out there, but the other ones you produce are amazing.
I like the idea of posting images to show you how much we appreciate your creations. I have posted mine. I use your covers for my movie library as most of my collection is Steelbooks and Special Editions and I can't use the covers for them. Also in my list are ones I want and also A couple that shouldn't be there! Oops.
If it takes a long time for you to make new covers so be it. I know the pressure personal life can have. I am disabled with a disabled wife and life can her tough. I only wish I had half as mush talent as you and I would create covers. But I know my limits.
Thank you Kernie.

First and foremost, thank you to Darksaber, Bunny Dojo, crushem, and WilderMike for sharing your thoughts, photos, and understanding. I too often focus on the negative interactions with ungrateful members and forget that there are so many who truly understand and appreciate the time and effort it takes to keep this collection going. I am very glad to know that some of you look at me as a person and not a request-filling cover-machine. Thank you again!

Before I get to the covers, a few quick notes on TV show covers:
- Covers for TV shows will only be added AFTER the current season has aired or the complete episode list has been released. Please also allow sufficient time for me to create the cover after the season has concluded (i.e. please refrain from PM-ing me the morning after the season finale for The Walking Dead to ask where the cover is). I appreciate your patience.
- If any of the shows below are not renewed for a second season, I will revise the "Season One" text to read "The Complete Series." At the moment, neither Daredevil, Agent Carter, or Constantine have been officially guaranteed a second season. Walking Dead has, of course, been renewed already for Season 6.
And now for a few new covers!

Awesome work as per usual Kernie
I'll start at the very beginning
Daredevil, I'm in the process of converting the series, so haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but the reviews I've read look positive. The cover looks great, good use of the character poster combination, the logo and back symbol look great, nice that you used the classic version of the double D.
Agent Carter, good looking cover, nice character placement, I expect those were hard to find, nice use of colours mimicking the poster you can find on the web
The SSR symbol on the back look stunning, almost as if you could lift it off the back.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overload, I didn't realise it was a film, thought it was a game (just looked it up, it's a 22min episode lol Edit: just realised it states this on the back of the cover, forgot about the little details like this you add
) anyhow the cover looks great, I enjoyed the other Lego shows, so I expect this is fun to watch
Batman Vs. Robin, again another good looking cover, the artwork was practically made for the template, the films itself is basically a continuation of Son of Batman, I've seen it already, but wasn't too impressed, just my opinion, others may think different.
Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts, nice looking cover, I like the new Bat logo, don't really know much about this show, but the character designs looks good, looking forward to see what this is like.
Teen Titans Go: Volume 3, good looking cover, but I can't understand why they went for this, and cancelled shows like Young Justice and Beware the Batman. Yes they are trying to appeal to a younger audience, but I'm sure if I were still a kid I would sooner want to watch Young Justice over this dribble.
Constantine, I like the use of colour of this cover, I don't know much about the actual Hellblazer comic books, but my understanding is that this is a closer interpretation of the character, compared to the Keanu Reeves version. Yes they have dialed back a lot on the smoking, but this day and age that understandable, I thought the show itself started a bit slow in story but overall watchable, I'd like to see a second series.
The Walking Dead, really nice continuation to the other four covers, the placement of the characters is just outstanding, finding images that resemble the other covers must be getting harder to find, (spoiler alert poor Beth
)
Popeye's Voyage: The Quest for Pappy, know very little about this one, but the cover looks good, and for 9p off amazon it's worth it to check it out
Thanks so much once again, looking forward to printing out most of these, and watching a few, lets hope that most get renewed. I'm looking forward to what will hopefully come next, I'm also looking forward to May 1st and the continuing Adventures of the Avengers
So thanks yet again

fantastic updates kernie love them all. great lay out on daredevil and agent carter
have you watched agent carter or daredevil yet, i'm curious on your thoughts
As for the collecting i have seen some of the most rare and obscure shows and movies added into this collection. There will never be another collection i can envision that will compare to this masterpiece.
Accidentally finding yours cover was the greatest accident , it led to this astounding collection of some of my fondest childhood memories and it makes me proud to be be a comic fan and show off this collection.
Your covers inspired me to take a chance and work hard to become a designer myself. it also allowed me to be introduced to the whole cover community and all the wonderful sites out there im a part of, all because this comic collection.

Watch it immediately. It's pretty great (but more on that later...)
I'm very pleased with how the Daredevil cover turned out. I wasn't sure how combining the five character posters would work, but I got lucky and a lot of happy accidents pulled it together. Probably one of my favorite covers in the entire collection.Darksaber wrote:QUOTE (Darksaber @ Apr 12 2015, 07:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Agent Carter, good looking cover, nice character placement, I expect those were hard to find, nice use of colours mimicking the poster you can find on the webThe SSR symbol on the back look stunning, almost as if you could lift it off the back.
The character placement is meant to mirror what I did with Agents of SHIELD: Season 1, as well as replacing the SHIELD logo behind them with the SSR one. I'll probably create a different arrangement for AoS: Season 2, but I thought it would be fun to make the first seasons of SHIELD and Carter look similar.Darksaber wrote:QUOTE (Darksaber @ Apr 12 2015, 07:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Batman Vs. I realize this is a direct sequel to Son of Batman, and I contemplated using the SoB color scheme, but ultimately it clashed with the keyart. I suppose the last three Justice League animated movies have also been one continuing story, but I also kept their color palettes separate to better work with the retail art. I hope nobody minds too much.

I think this is more kid-oriented, like Justice League Adventures: Trapped in Time. Batman vs. Robo-animals, I guess. Don't have much interest in it personally, although I'm almost completely disinterested in everything come out of DC at the moment (including their theatrical output).Darksaber wrote:QUOTE (Darksaber @ Apr 12 2015, 07:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Teen Titans Go: Volume 3, good looking cover, but I can't understand why they went for this, and cancelled shows like Young Justice and Beware the Batman. I couldn't agree more.![]()

Yes, I sort of designed myself into a corner by making Season 2 match the Season 1 cast photo. Since then I've had to scour through the production stills to find suitable images to make these cast arrangements (then matching the color palettes as well). I appreciate that you notice this, since I think most people assume it's just retail keyart and not something I have to create myself. Thanks for acknowledging these details!

Daredevil is outstanding. I'm currently on my second watching of the series (yes, it debuted three days ago). The dark tone and crime noir elements are perfect for Daredevil and the "street level" heroes that Marvel is bringing to Netflix. The production values are much higher than Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter and the stories are much more adult. I was surprised by how graphic some scenes became. As a motion graphics designer, I absolutely adore the brilliant opening title sequence as well. Marvel's best TV series by far. I just hope they don't wait until after the Defenders team-up series to do a second season!
Agent Carter is decent. A fun eight-episode mini-series that hints at the beginnings of Jarvis, the Winter Soldier program, the Black Widow academy, and more. My main problem with it is the problem I have with all prequels... we know where it's going, which lessens the dramatic tension. We know who won't die and where they will end up. It's fun to watch the journey, but knowing the destination makes it less intriguing.
While we're on the subject, Agents of SHIELD is showing improvement. This season's darker tone has worked well and I'm glad they're utilizing the Marvel Universe more (Gen. Talbot, Mockingbird, Crusher Creel, Mr. Hyde, Quake, and the Terrigen Mists).
Flash has been the most fun new series this season and it's not afraid to embrace it's comic-book roots. Other than the boring Barry/Iris subplot, it's been an excellent and light-hearted show. Arrow has lost me a bit since last season... lingering on boring storylines with Sara and Thea and giving us a woefully underwhelming casting choice for Ra's Al Ghul (the guy exudes no authority or menace).
Unfortunately, haven't seen Constantine or iZombie. I gave Gotham a shot, but it suffers the same prequel problem I mentioned above. It also seems like the showrunners don't really care about the source material and just throw Batman characters into the show to boost ratings.
Sorry for the long post, I haven't ranted in a while.Last edited by Kernie on Mon Apr 13, 2015 1:51 am, edited 1 time in total.
