png causes CC to crash

Hi,

Yesterday, when I was playing around with a new cover, CC crashed every time I tried to open a png-file. I have tried several png's but same thing happens. No fancy error message or anything, just "Photoshop has stopped working" etc. I've searched around a little and found some threads with similar problems. The solution seems to be updating CC. This is not an option for me since my version isn't registered.

Anyone experienced this and know how to fix it?

Are you able to restore Windows to before it was doing this?

No sry z, i didn't have this problem. Maybe a fresh installation of cc works?!

from experience cc has a few bugs why i've stuck with cs6.... but like spacebug looks like a fresh install is they only way
or find s nre version with the updates included.

Probably a long shot but how about resetting the preferences?

Do you have any plugins installed or any new ones installed recently?

Yes, I have a couple of plugins, but none of them were installed recently.

Maybe try uninstalling them and then see if the issue still exists, if not I would recommend a fresh install.

Magnus, press and hold Alt+Control+Shift while photoshop starts and you should be prompted to delete the current preferences
