So, as promised... the 80s are now done... If anyone saw my first page with the spine previews over the last week, you will have already gotten a hint at these, I added them accidentally, LOL.
Here they are, 1980-1989:

Ordinary People - 1980 Best Picture Winner

Chariots of Fire - 1981 Best Picture Winner

Gandhi - 1982 Best Picture Winner

Terms of Endearment - 1983 Best Picture Winner

Amadeus - 1984 Best Picture Winner

Out of Africa - 1985 Best Picture Winner

Platoon - 1986 Best Picture Winner

The Last Emperor - 1987 Best Picture Winner

Rain Man - 1988 Best Picture Winner

Driving Miss Daisy - 1989 Best Picture Winner

And All of the Labels:

* All of the labels can be found by searching for AACBLUL.
That's it for now! All of the covers and labels have now been added to the gallery!
See you again when the 70s are done... well hopefully not that long!

Hello everyone!
While working on my most recent set of Academy covers, I realized how many movies get nominated each year that are just as amazing (sometimes better) than the movie that actually won. I really wanted to acknowledge the nominees as well. However, I realized that doing a set of covers for all of the nominees would be an insurmountable task. So, I decided to do only the covers that I personally own or would really like to own. I also decided to only do ones for movies that were nominated for Best Picture.
This new set also opens the door for cover requests if anyone owns a Best Picture nominee that I do not have a cover for. For example, in 2007 I really liked the movie Juno, so I will definitely be designing a cover for that one. However, I don't own There Will be Blood, so that one wouldn't get a cover... unless someone else wants it!
I know I wanted to keep my design the same, since many of the elements of these covers will be the same as the winner covers. So, I decided that the Gold Winners covers would be nicely complimented by Silver Nominees covers. The only minor alteration I made was to customize the ribbon that wraps the statue on the front. Each cover's front poster will have a color theme. That theme will be carried in a two-tone gradient on the ribbon.
So, here they are... well the first five that is. I did one for each year for now, back to 2009:
Gravity - 2013 Best Picture Nominee

Zero Dark Thirty - 2012 Best Picture Nominee

Hugo - 2011 Best Picture Nominee

Toy Story 3 - 2010 Best Picture Nominee

Avatar - 2009 Best Picture Nominee

I know typically requests go into the request forum. However (if it's okay with the admins here), I say to post your requests here. That way I get the email, and don't have to constantly check the request forum.
Oh, and I will be doing labels too!
That's all for now!
Later!
