As much as possible, please refrain from guessing whose design is whose or publicly listing your favorite until after judging is completed.

Don't you think that until the official judging is done, we shouldn't be publically speculating who is whos? It could lead towards biased voting.

Could we please wait? I'm not finished scrutinizing over the covers, Tim. This is taking far more time than I anticipated (even tho this is not my first time as a judge). I really want to give the entries fair and in depth scrutinizing. With so many designers, who have spent a race against time to be finished by the deadline, I think it would only be fair if I, as a Judge, also give this my best.

Also, when are the Judges' scorecards due, please?

Personally? I would prefer nobody start guessing whose is whose until Sunday, and I would prefer nobody list their favorite until after the competition is over. That's why, for instance, every post of the preview video was accompanied by "please do not guess who created each design until Sunday."

It's like how the announcement post, the judging post, and the judging email all listed April 7, but JR asked when scores are due. That loveable nut!

Designers and spectators from at least 3 different sites have mentioned favorites (none on whom seem to be pushing an agenda, just appreciating other people's covers), so I'd rather loosen the rule now than have a problem later. As long as everyone stays pretty reserved these next couple of days, a little chatter is okay.

So, an update...

Thankfully, very few people have posted specific comments (the majority of which were easy to remove), so, let's go back to what was originally planned:
