I prefer the 'Collectors Edition' text... what makes it a 'Collectors Edition'? Why the custom cover art of course! Mwahahahahahahaha!

This gonna be great, no doubt! Go with the 3d title but maybe not so large 3d depth. :)

Well, first off - your Question. I think the banner worked best on Incredibles - but leaving it out will lose the balance of the front. Even though it worked best on Incredibles it would be a good way too to tie in all the different disney/pixar titles in this collection; so after much thought - keep the banner ;)

Oh, and I say save the quote for the back and go with a collection text instead.

Lastly - the 3D TT looks awesome (sorry Felipe), and another kernie trademark for this collection. Can't way too see your other custom TTs :D :D

I have enjoyed collecting your collection. I think that they are all awesome. I was going to ask with the some of the Pixar movies were released in 3D, will you also be making a 3D cover for them also? I am being curious. :chin:

I'm going to leave it as is. I really like it this way, and we'll just be splitting hairs debating how deep the TT should be. Everyone will have an opinion, and none of us will be right! :D :D

I agree. The Incredibles banner fit better, but I think what I've done for Brave is still good, and will seem less out of place once there are other titles added to the series. I've got some fun ideas for handling the banner on a few of the other titles.

Thank you for your compliments. I am going to try to limit the amount of "variant" covers in this collection. I've released two versions of the Incredibles... one in a standard blu-ray size and one that fits the actual retail case (it had a bigger spine to accommodate four discs). I will probably continue a similar practice for the rest of the collection, but I don't intend to do special "3D" versions. Mainly because the 3D sets are usually the same as the regular Blu-ray, but with the extra 3D disc thrown in. I will try to keep features/specs generic enough so that you can use the regular Blu-ray cover to contain your 3D/Blu-ray/DVD combo pack.

Also, I don't plan on doing labels for this collection. I don't think many people actually use the labels I provide, plus with all of the 3D/BD/DVD/Digital Copy discs that Disney throws in, it's a headache to account for each type of label. I also feel that the labels tend to encourage piracy to a certain degree, because I'd imagine most folks are printing their labels onto burnt copies of the discs rather than adhering a stick-on label onto a purchased disc. For that reason, I'm starting to minimize the amount of labels I make, although I will still continue it for my Comic Collection and other already established cover sets. I feel covers are a slightly different situation because they can be used by someone who legally purchased the disc but wants to swap out the artwork insert.

Will these be dvd as well or do I have to make my son happy and trade all the dvds for blu rays? Great looking start, really solid art and love the new GI Joe cover as well!

I'll do a quick experiment with Incredibles to see how easy it might be to do a conversion. Initially, I hadn't planned on DVD versions... I was mainly thinking Blu-ray only.

Truth be told, I've grown tired, bored, and loathful of doing BD-to-DVD/DVD-to-BD conversions. There's no art or creativity to them, it's just moving stuff around to fit the new dimensions. And sometimes, it's a lot more difficult to do than it might seem, especially depending upon how complex the layers are organized and arranged in Photoshop. This is the reason I haven't done too many DVD versions of my recent HRC entries... many of them were so deliberately organized, constructed and designed that to "stretch" them out to the DVD format would require major adjustments and ruin the overall flow and layout.

This doesn't mean I won't consider doing DVD converts, it just means that I'm not too excited or eager to do them. :D

Magnificent covers. I loved them and I am looking forward to seeing more. But, as this is a series (Pixar), I have a suggestion, Kernie. Have you thought about adding the year of production to the spine?

The thought has crossed my mind, but I think I'm going to leave it off.

I want this to feel like a very "loose" collection... meaning that someone could choose to use them all, or simply use the ones that interest him/her. Putting a number or year on the spine tends to give a "collect them all!" implication that I'm trying to avoid with this particular cover set.

But a valid suggestion nonetheless... thanks! :D :D :D
