Love the start. In addition to some alien elements, have you thought about adding the LA skyline or some iconic buildings from LA in the background? I think that would really hit home the Battle: Los Angeles idea.

Great start venome! I just looked at the original image of the soldier and it made me appreciate this even more

Maybe one (or more) of those "donut"-looking explotions would look great on there?

The explosions were not as easy and gave me problems.. may leave them out.
Wasn't 100% sure before, but the background characters is Eckhart as i thought.. gave him a new head and some light adjustments and i'm happy with that.

Added one of the alien drone ships and some city skyline with fire, smoke and debris. Maybe a bunch more debris on the ground and finish the empty space between the legs and waist of the 2 characters.

Looks great! Nice colors. i like it. Maybe some dirt and smoke on the building over the crashed car.
