Another Jack-Jack pic, larger UFO. number 1 larger and on it's own and some cleaning up. My plan is to have the light beam pulling an object/image up into the ship once i work out where goes.

This looks great! Nice work rising to the challenge of taking on such a tough genre.
For the front, depending on how much else you're looking to add, maybe you could make the title larger and then have the abducted element floating in front? That could potentially fill up the canvas more while adding an extra bit of dimension to things.
(Admittedly, it would probably make the cover less sophisticated/high-class than what you have now, so there's a bit of a trade-off.)
Or, maybe you could move down the title? That seems like it would be a nice minimalist look, rather than seemingly like any of the space is "empty."
