Really the only reason I'm posting this preview is cause a couple of comments I got are way beyond me, 3 of them are
1, the spine elements are not centered.....WTF?
2, Afflecks hair on the back could be cut out better.....that whole scene is one picture from the resource pack, Affleck NOT cut out on the back, again WTF...
3, front image was a bit low res....5000 x 3000 (aprrox) at 300dpi is to low res? again WTF?
So anyway, whatever right...

Well, Dave - I hear you about some comments must have been made in a very dark room.
As for your effort here, I think it's very good. Stylish cover. The TT on the pillar is a cool idea, well executed, bud!

Since at least one of the three comments may have been mine, I'll provide you with some feedback...

Because your back images and patterns did not extend to the edges of the back cover, it mistakenly appeared as though your spine elements were not centered. I respectfully retract my comment regarding the centering, however it raises the issue of why your back image and patterns did not extend to the edges... so it's a standstill. I apologize for my mistake.

Perhaps the source image was high-res enough, but the quality of the image appears to be low (or filtered to the point where the image loses clarity and quality). Regardless, the image of Affleck is not crisp or clear.

I understand your frustration and disappointment, Nightrider... believe me, I do. I also respect your efforts to clarify some of the judges' comments. However, all of the "WTF's" and "whatevers" are not necessary. You've always been a member eager to learn and improve at this hobby. I would hate to see this competition sour a normally upbeat and positive aspiring artist. Take this simple word of advice from a cranky old veteran... try not to let your anger consume you or alter your enthusiasm for this hobby. I've let it consume me in the past, and it never did me any good. I don't want you to follow the same path of bitterness and cynicism as I have, so please take whatever time you need to vent and recover from this experience, and use this as an opportunity to improve in the future. You have much talent and there is always room for growth. Don't beat yourself up too much, buddy.![]()
