I watched Titanic again last night, and will have a 2nd watch of Argo tonite. Then I'll decide which way to go.
As for the competition, I'm with Bazz; I've always viewed Battle Royale as a Team effort. Yes, one winner is announced in the end, but the glory spills over the whole site, and as far as I can remember the efforts of the site's entire Team is praised. Not just the one winner. The Team.
Now, to be fair, it's been two years since I last entered this thing as a designer; being a Judge last year. But as I remember it, it was a great experience being a part of the Vizion team, where friendly banter and help were offered up for grabs in PMs. That's one of the things I, when I look back, I love about that year's competition. Being part of that Team.
And helping out shouldn't be a bad thing. I was asked for help from a member of the competing Vizion Team just the other day. And did I neglect to help out a fellow competitor? No, of course not. He needed templates that Vizion don't have (being a Danish site first and foremost), and we had them here at HiRes. So I shipped them over to him. Why? Because this is a fun competition and we are all in it together!
And I'm realistic enough to know that I don't stand a chance of winning this thing. Not with the blood-thirsty Vman on the prowl for raw meat, and other designer's whose skills are far superior to mine are competing too! I'm in it for the fun, and to push myself a little. Don't spoil the fun please!!
