The Great Cover Duel, July 2012

Thanks guys. The idea is in my mind, the problem is the lack of good front pictures for Adele and the lack of skills from me. But I’ll try my best, already did some minor adjustments, included a texture on the background and a faded frame. Now I’m trying to add a subtle Egypt map above the background.

As soon as I get the background sorted, will add Adele and perhaps another 2 or 3 characters, and then some faded images from Paris and Egypt on the background.

I think I'm gonna start over with this one... I really like this poster:

Think I'm gonna build a collage around another image of adele, which I've worked alot with today. The hat was impossible to cut out with feathers etc. sticking out everywhere, so I had to make one myself. The frame and TT are not final, just to give you an idea of what I'm going for. I've already cut out a lot of the other characters, so hopefully it wont take long to make a collage. Well, this is what I've got so far:

Much better now Z! Funny that i'm working with that picture now i think our covers will look similar, except the background as mine will be yellow/orange and yours green.

Here's another quick update. I'm still working on the background, so please ignore the small details like masking and so on.
And i'm still looking for the perfect Adele image to use on the front...

Since you have the very bright background, how about using a shillouette of Adéle? Something similar to this image: http://img5.douban.com/view/photo/raw/public/p574508519.jpg

Or perhaps use this body shot: http://img1.douban.com/view/photo/raw/public/p574489651.jpg combined with a head shot one from of the other stills. (to get her body facing the background, and her head to face the viewer. If that makes sence.)

I like where this is going, Ark. If you want I can send you a .psd of the dino without Adele riding it?

I'm still struggling with the layout of my front. Really wanna make a collage, but since I'm a noob at it, it takes forever finding a decent set-up.

What do you think about this? Feel it's a bit empty just below Adele, so was thinking about adding a character or two there, or maybe the pyramids would work...

Here's an update with the pyramids. Pretty happy with the front myself, just need to make some finishing touches and decide on the framing and TT.
