Awesome! But please don't tell me anything about it, I already know too much! :Pdrwho wrote:QUOTE (drwho @ Apr 24 2012, 08:59 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I was thinking he was bigger when you mentioned it, but should have known kernie82 would of giving it a lot of thought, another example
From that image, drwho, the Destroyer looks MUCH bigger than the one in my post. Perhaps he varies in size throughout the film? Or the filmmakers and FX guys just altered his size depending on how it fit each scene/shot. I suppose if the Destroyer's size is variable, then that solves my problem!

There aren't many 7Elevens where I live, and the closest one (about 18 miles away) doesn't have a gas station. But, I think the gas station 7Elevens are more of an American southwest thing, which considering Thor's earth-bound segments take place in New Mexico, would make sense.
The one thing that always bugs me about Thor is that there's this brand-new, spotless Dr. Pepper machine with current logo and branding (probably even with bottles of the more recent addition, Dr. Pepper Cherry) in this old, run-down ghost town. I know it's product placement, but it's so blatant and it takes me out of every scene in which it is visible.

Here's a small update with a slightly larger Destroyer (still keeping in mind that he is standing further back from Obadiah Stane) and the addition of Blu-ray Disc specs below the SHIELD tech-frame thing.

Thanks, didn't know that.![]()
I remember the big chase scene in Spider-Man, coz the truck is a brand new Carlsberg truck, and I prefer that to Dr. Pepper any day! :P
PS: As a Dane I also have a very hard time with the Thor comics character - It's a sort of brutal violation of my childhood story hero! Didn't care much for the Thor film either, coz of that fact.Last edited by JollyRoger on Tue Apr 24, 2012 2:02 pm, edited 1 time in total.A designer knows he has achieved perfection - not when there's nothing left to add - but when there's nothing left to take away

Personally, I always kind of separated "Thor the Mythological God" from "Thor the Marvel Superhero."
I never really looked at the Marvel Universe version of Thor as the same as "our universe" version of the thunder god. Marvel kind of put their own spin on Asgard and all that stuff, using the character in ways that I don't believe were ever intended by the original storytellers of Norse mythology. To me, Marvel's Thor was always a loose adaptation of the character to fit in the context of the comic book universe.
It's kind of the same thing as Wonder Woman and all of her Amazon/Greek Mythology background in the DC Comics Universe.Last edited by Kernie on Tue Apr 24, 2012 3:12 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Still looking awesome
No worries, my lips will be sealed til everyones seen it and a discussion breaks out
Yeah I think from memory Destroyer was big but not huge in Asgard but on Earth he seemed to have grown quite a bit, he could very well be controlled from his normal size to extra large by who holds the power over him, hadn't thought of that before, a very good point.
On a side note my memories of THOR are the Marvel ones, for that reason I really enjoyed THOR, for my point of view they got it right
