3 weeks total does seem too tight when a couple of people weren't finalized until today. Plus, Okladkomaniacy is down right now, so a few extra days for everyone to get things sorted makes sense. I plan to make that official on Wednesday.

For next year, I'll change things to:
1 Week to choose judges
2 Weeks to choose designers
4 Weeks to design
1 Week to judge

All of the lead-in time, the long list of exact dates, and the "you can back out if you want" stipulations made things an odd combination of overly laid back and overly complicated. That was poor form on my part, making things difficult by trying to make them easy. It's only year two, there are still a couple of kinks to work out.
