Lol I've gotten a lot of masking done for the skin layers but I'll be honest, I have an acute fear of total colorizations :SMy gallery: HERE
Star Wars
Slowly returning to this. I've been poking at this series for months, but matching Struzan traditional art look is the hardest thing I've ever tried.
I found a start I like for The Last Jedi. I studied Struzan light effects and applied two of my favorites. I'll add a blue radiating spark effect of his soon to add more color balance.
I still haven't touched rough VI, but it's here for series mood reference. VIII has quick and rough edge work. Thoughts or ideas are always welcome

As has been the case over the years, your design explorations are consistently interesting, with exciting on-going results.
(My generic suggestion is that it might be worth completing either a standalone cover or even a poster, just to give yourself some momentum without having to worry about perfection or the weight of an entire series. I know the learning process itself is the reward, but some of your 50-90% complete Star Wars pieces in recent years have been astounding, and you deserve the accompanying sense of accomplishment and a few completed showpieces along your journey. Plus, you could always modify any design to fit a collection at a later date.)

Taking Bunny's suggestion and charging ahead to have a finished cover for The Last Jedi
Soooo much to do on the back to make it Struzan with lighting effects, hair detail, illustrative outlines and blocking in other characters
