Been a member for a while but first WIP methinks so be kind! :)

Saw this film a while back and thought it was great, been outa the game for a long while so this is a tentative start but nothing set in stone.

Stayed away from the poster art but tried to keep a similar theme, not sure it works yet.

Some things to note.
Havent blended the screens yet.
Not sure on the fonts used or background.

Loved this movie and thought Gleeson was brilliant!

When it comes to the cover, I have to say I don't like the background you've used. Why have you chosen a brick wall btw? Can't remember any huge brick walls in the movie... Think it would work better with a subtle texture, maybe in blue?

I like the bulletholes in the TT, that's your work right? Reflects the movie very well.

Thanks for the reply :)

I chose the wall for a background because of the end scenes where they are along the pier in the final showdown but can be changed of course, i tried various textures but couldnt find one i liked, i'll keep the brick for now but will look out for something else that may fit better.

Yep bullets were added onto own TT by me.

Done a quick mock up with a slightly altered back to see if it works any better, same wall for now though as i was doing this as you posted :)

Make sure to center the synopsis and go with a smaller size. :)

Woa :yikes: A monstrous synopsis! Can you find a shorter (or shorten it yourself), then lose at least a pt size-wise.
Also move it inward till you have 30-40 pixels worth of free space on each side.

Looking forward to see this comedy! Just watched the trailer and ROFL!

Lol I thought I'd make a double play DVD where you get to read it as well as watch :D

I'll shorten the synopsis if it's too big, never been quite sure of font or px size for those.

Cool start ULAM, i would personally remove the drop shadow on cheadle and Gleeson from the front. It makes them look pasted on and if thats not there it will look more natural. :)

ULAM!! great to see you posting a WIP here!

Nice looking cover so far buddy!

One redo I have would be to frame the screens box a bit so it doesn't look like it is meant to be part of the main image on the back, but a cool effect with it.

Thanks lcd and bpm :)

Ok another slight change, dont think the screens were working where i had them so have them separate now.
also added the Irish flag to the TT does it work or just keep it white?
