Update...

Front:

Fixed the collection txt which bothered me before...

Very nice JR, I was wondering if you are going to gold emboss the logo sheild and motto? like you had before

One of the files I lost was my cutout Hogwarts logo :(

Took a long time as I recall... Would hate to do it again, but I will if needed. :)


Anyway... was thinking that this perhaps is too old-school? Perhaps the book should have another colour? I'm at a loss...

I don't necessairly think it would look better, I just liked how it stood out before. I like how you have it now as well, so I was being nosey :)
Personally I do not think it is to old school at all, I like it, if you want to try another color how about a navy blue or a faded green or red/burgandy?

Begun the tedious work of drawing the Crest on my Wacom I have made it on several layers; that way I can create the embossment later with much more control... Trying out other border options. Worked some more on the spine. Thoughts, please?

quite like the last version, text underneath shield look a little hard to read... spine look brilliant though :)
