Wow... must be a slow night here at Hires. I uploaded these four hours ago and not so much as a single view (from anyone besides little old me) in the gallery. Bummer... makes me regret all the time I've spent on them.

I had to poke some fun at you about that back on season 1  I know just to help you with the image I spent an hour or so on it and I know you spent some serious time on it. I'm that guy that reminds you of things you'd rather forget years down the road :D I was at Zombie (Wal)-Mart earlier today and I saw that they have these for cheap ($15 or so each) maybe I'll grab them at some point. This has come out great, good job :thumb:
No matter where you go, there you are.

I just finished downloading all 3 seasons. You just gotta give it time, not everyone is going to be a Buffy fan, I'm sure over time a lot of people will download these.

What he said about the time (not about the Buffy fan 'thing' 'cause everyone loves to comment your work) :)

I don't have much more to say about the covers, you know i like them and they seem flawless.
Solid work here Andrew!

Just downloaded the first 3 seasons, taken a closer look and loving them, the only thing that caught my eye being strange was Xanda's left ear (right one as you look at the cover) it looks to stick out a bit :) but it's probably because his head is slightly at an angle and his other ear is cover by hair.

Strange thing to notice I know :) otherwise excellent work yet again :)

People here love your work, Kernie. To think otherwise is incorrect.

This thread, like most of your WIP threads, is already one of the all-time most popular.

To put your popularity into perspective:
I've been fortunate enough to make a lot of friends on here who give me more than my fair share of comments and pats on the back. My covers for The Treasure of the Sierra Madre were made in a WIP thread (increasing views), nominated for cover of the month (increasing views), requested (increasing views), and are for one of the top-100 films of all-time. Probably my best work. Combined, they have less comments and downloads than your cover for the Josie and the Pussycats movie. :P

Judging your entire project by three hours of statistics from when nobody knew you were uploading covers, the set isn't finished, the show itself is 15 years old, and a third of the site's members are commuting or eating dinner while another third are sleeping... it's not a good idea. :)

People are commenting here who have never seen the show. People are planning to buy the DVDs because of your designs. Fans are singing ultimate praises upon these covers. And, unless I've been reading incorrectly, you've been learning a little, joking around with friends, and discussing a favorite show during this whole process.

You're at the top of the pyramid with the sun shining down on your face, brother. Enjoy it. :)

You're absolutely right and I appreciate your input, BD! I'm a diva, I know, and I realize that alienates some members from chiming in on my threads and covers. I'm not going to make excuses for that, other than to say that I get very invested and passionate about my covers, and overreact if something I love (as I love these Buffy covers) initially seems to gain little attention. I also mistakenly interpret even the slightest criticism as an indication that the entire cover sucks and should be scrapped, but again... I know this is not true and is something I'm constantly working on. I'm a very flawed person, you see... :D :D :D

In all honesty, I appreciate you saying what you said. It's humbling and I need that.

To everyone who has commented and enjoys these covers, I truly thank you. I'm a difficult person to deal with, I know, but the fact that people still keep coming back to offer advice, tips, and feedback is very much appreciated. In the meantime, I'll be working on keeping that stupid ego of mine in check... :D

Actually I really thought you we're joking at first, Andrew! Get a reality check - we're not movie stars! Go check out other MD galleries for comments/number of downloads. I'm sure they won't be all that magnificent as You seem to think. I know mine aren't; but perhaps that's just me.

Anyways - There are a lot of beautiful covers for films, I'd never go buy - even to use with your or other's BEAUTIFUL work - but that won't stop me from being active in the wip threads! For me one of the best things about this hobby is the wips - it's so cool to see how a great cover - or even a set - comes together, and hopefully I learn something too - no matter if it's my own wip or somebody else's. And it is a fact, that I don't go downloading every cover I like... I'm sure many members/designers do the same.

I am really not trying to bring you down again or anything, hope we are past that, I'm just trying to help keeping things in perspective. :)

... now HRC's got both a princess and a Diva! I love it! :D :sponge1:
