Been following this thread on and off for awhile now and must say this is fantastic work so far......

I may throw a spanner in the works here and go for the vertical solution..... I've used this type of arrangement for trilogy
covers in the past (check my Underworld & Transporter trilogy Covers). You would probably find it slightly easier incorporating episodes
listings and other features that way. Montages of characters can go in the smaller vertical. But don't no what your planning for the back,
with regards to information and other details.

Whichever way you do it Kernie i'm 100% sure it will come out just as good as the work you did on them fabulous spines & fronts.

Finally a set of cover worthy for my collection :P

Andrew being totally honest with you.. the vertical blue bar option is the best one!
The frame with the collage of the characters will be great!! And different from all we're always seeing.

Just my 2 cents. Up to you :)

Good points, Arky and Demonology.

I am growing a bit tired of horizontal layouts, I tend to use them a lot. Maybe I'll try something different and play around with the vertical layout. If I can't make it work, maybe I'll revert to horizontal. But in the interest of challenging myself, I'll try the vertical...

Although Scott makes a good point i think i prefer the overall look of the vertical layout ;)

Thanks, Ark! I think I'm already headed in that direction, but that's pretty much what I had in mind...

I'm just starting to get placement down in the above preview... none of it is close to final. I'll do a better arrangement of typography for the quote (and cite it), and I realize the synopsis is orphaned on the last line.

I also think I should change the thin, Univers font on the front and spine to something more serif-y that evokes an older/antique-book feeling. Anyone agree, or is it fine the way it is?

Damn, I love how this is looking! I really like the fat spine too (it's a shame they're total space butchers). I think the Univers font looks fine as it is.
Nothing to add really :D

Thanks, felipe! I totally agree about the fat spine, I think it looks much cooler than the thin spines and resembles an old book spine much more. Unfortunately, in a world in need of space-saving, the thin spine doesn't allow the horizontal TT and lessens the "old book" feel.

Good thing I'll be providing both options (for those members with some shelf-space to spare)! :D :D :D

Wonderful piece of work! I really like it Kernie. The vertical option for the back would be my 'pick'.

I actually have nothing to comment right now. Looking forward to see more of the back, good luck ;)
