This is an early preview of what I'm going for. Just wanted to see if you guys think it's worth continuing down this path.

right now it feels a bit boring.. But if you change the colors to something more vibrant it might look good :)

Yes, I was planning on adding some colors, maybe a picture of something burning etc.

Nice start! I love the concept, it just needs work on the background.

BTW, this movie was AMAZING! Probably the best film I've seen this year!

I'm very much looking forward to seeing this flick!

I love the simplicity of your front. with the right typography to boot, you'll have a killer front IMO

Agree with the above, how would some redwoods work on the BG?

Update:

Does the green work as background? Think it's pretty good myself... Don't know which color the smoke should be. In the movie it's white/grey, but I think light green works better here.

Nightrider: I did actually consider putting a redwood forest as background, but the scene which the front is based on didn't take place there, so I don't think it fits.

Fair enough Zungam, it's a tough one to judge the color on, probably come down to more of a personal choice, I was actually thinking I like the grey you had but maybe a bit of blue in that?
The green on the front doesn't look to bad but I think the brightness of it on the back is a bit to much, atm at least :)
