I quite liked Thor! Thought is was exactly what it needed to be. And a good choice with Chris for the lead. Thought he was great for his small part in Star Trek.

Just to change the subject for a half second, and not to hijack it, (heaven forbid), Andrew, have you seen the possible cover on Amazon for Smallville Season 10? I know that it is subject to change, but, I think they may have a good start tho. Here is the link. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003L77GG...;pf_rd_i=507846 - AGAIN I'M NOT HIJACKING THE THREAD BUT ASKING A SILLY QUESTION.

Yes, I've seen it. But I doubt that is the final artwork. It doesn't follow the template of the previous 9 releases (the title treatment on the retails runs vertically along the left side of the keyart). I actually think the artwork is a bit bland compared to the other 9 seasons and I hope they don't end up going with it. Clark against a gray wall with the Superman silhouette is a bit boring to me.

When the final artwork is actually released, rest assured that I will do my best to get a hi-res version of it ASAP so that I can finish my Smallville covers.

Well i just finished watching Thor: Tales Of Asgard and I gotta say i'm pretty disappointed I'd give it a 7/10. The story really wasn't that great and it just didn't seem like Thor especially without the hammer. over all I'd this is probably marvels weakest animated movie yet. I Still got cause I collect marvel cartoons and i did enjoy it but it could have been a 1000 times better.

Making a cover for Thor: Tales of Asgard was about as much interest as I had in that film. Marvel's animated DTV's have been largely lackluster (Hulk Vs. being the lone exception) and even their animated shows are missing something (Avengers and Wolverine and the X-Men are good, but nowhere near DC Animated Universe level, but maybe that's an unfair comparison).

Speaking of Smallville from a few posts back, anybody have any thoughts on the finale? I thought it was pretty damn well done, despite only teasing the appearance of Darkseid and Superman in a full suit. I'm willing to excuse those complaints because this was always intended to be the story of Clark Kent's evolution into Superman, and not a show about Superman himself. While Smallville's been frequently disappointing and anticlimactic in the past, I felt they did a good job in ending the series. But, what do others think?

I was a 50/50 with the ending i was happy he finally became superman but at the same time i thought him only learning how to fly at the last episode was sad and the fact that he defeated darkseid so easily. he had a harder with doomsday, I was also hoping that the whole Justice league would have been there for the finally.

I also thought darkseids minions were a joke, the fact that green arrow took the all out a once with a triple arrow shot was kind lame. The only other major thing that bothered was superman was able to push Apocalypse away from earth with almost no effort and mean while he's struggled with less before.

I don't think he actually defeated Darkseid so much as he destroyed Lionel's vessel (releasing the smoke-monster Darkseid so that he can return to plague Superman in the future). I just looked at it as a temporary solution to dispatch Lionel/Darkseid so that Clark could save the planet from Apokolips.

I don't mind the League not being there, after all... this was the culmination of Clark's journey and there were already a lot of characters to deal with in the finale. Although a few shots of the League averting disaster around the globe would have been neat.

If I'm not mistaken, the arrows that Green Arrow used to shoot Granny, Desaad, and Godfrey were "special" arrows from the cave that he and Supergirl were exploring in the previous episode. Granny destroyed the Bow of Orion, but maybe not the arrow heads? They did a special "slow-mo" on the arrows just before hitting their targets, and although it wasn't fully explained (typical Smallville), I'm led to believe the arrows were linked to the Bow of Orion, making it easy to destory the minions. Also, perhaps it was Oliver's strength of will (that he removed the Omega mark by sheer willpower) that somehow "empowered" the arrows? Either way, more explanation from the writers would have been nice. The Smallville writers like to drone on and on about Clark and Lois' relationship, but when it comes to explaining plotholes, they always fall short.

Also, Superman pushing away Apokolips with such ease was due to the reduced gravitational pull after removing the Omega symbol from people's minds. I think Chloe said earlier in the episode that the reason Apokolips was crashing to Earth was because it was being pulled towards it because of everyone's negative Omega-fueled thinking. Again... it's comic book logic and makes no real sense, but it's how I'm rationalizing it to better enjoy the finale.

With with all that explanation it makes the episode more enjoyable, lol. Although I still wish darkseid would have been as they how him in the comics and are cartoon but i can deal. I also think 1 more hour would have been nice so they could have explained some of the stuff better.

Did you hear that wonder woman TV pilot got canned. After filming the whole thing NBC decided that they didn't want to pick it up after all. So now it's in limbo like the Aquaman Pilot

Yeah, that stuff happens all the time. Honestly, I didn't expect the new Wonder Woman show to run much longer than a season anyway. I just think the character is too difficult to adapt for live action without deviating from the comic book roots. If the pilot ever surfaces as an iTunes download or something (like they did with Aquaman), I might make a cover for it.

As for Smallville, yeah... it would have been cool to see a full shot of Darkseid, but I'm still pretty impressed that we got as much of Kirby's fourth world stuff as we did (Darkseid, Granny, Desaad, Godfrey, Orion, the Female Furies, the anti-life equation, Apokolips, etc.) for a weekly live-action TV show. I think this is the first time any of the New Gods stuff has been adapted to live action and I thought it was a decent attempt to blend those elements into the Smallville universe. I also realize that the producers probably didn't want to overload casual viewers and non-comic-fans by throwing in a lot of the complex New Gods mythology (which is pretty dense even for comic-fans). Overall, I thought it was cool that a relatively-low-budget television show was even ambitious enough to tackle Darkseid and all the baggage that comes with him.

Yeah A lot of shows are getting canned the Wonder Woman, No Ordinary Family, The Cape. I'm hoping someone will come with some sort of smallville replacement, lol.

I've really enjoyed Avengers and Young Justice so far. Avengers Season 2 is starting soon and so is Batman Brave And The Bold Season 3. I have no idea what's going on with Young Justice They've only aired 9 episodes. I'm looking forward to The New Green lantern Cartoon I think that should be really good. All Star Superman wasn't that great.
