You might have seen them on a few of the other sites I upload on. If so, here they are again. If not then here they are for your approval.

I don't make cover for the big hitters. There are plenty who do that. I make covers for those who no-one else does & fullfil requests. Unless I don't like what's avalable, which is why I did Bloodrayne.

The covers may be a little blurry as I am doing an encode at the moment & don't want to start up CS2. The resizes were done with photosnap. I can assure you the full size images are 300 dpi & clear.

There are more, but surely that's enough for here.

Looking forward to joining to the team.

Cheers

swamp

ps. If anyone knows a good image dump where I can upload my full resolution covers once & then distribute them to the various sites via url from there I'd be supremely grateful.
Offering my opinion. Just in case anyone actually cares what it is.

What have blurry images got to do with a PC running an encode whilst upping them?

And why would say, the RV cover be more blurred than others?
What causes that pixellation effect around some of the text and images like the bus atop the mountain on the front?

BTW, RV title is not centred vertically (to far to right) on the spine, is this intentional? And at the bottom of the spine left is a section of the dark grey intruding onto the light of the back which can't be intentional.

Hope you don't mind the comments, this helps me learn as much as being critical.

Not seeing any of that stuff here maybe my monitor though but looks ok from here, might be because it's in low res mind you.....

Technically you are growing with the design of your covers. I agree with all points raised above.

The points about pixellation are probable through elements of low res materials being used. The same problems are on the proof cover. However this can be sorted with access to more hi res materials.

In principle I have no problem with acceptance.

I agree with Lulubelle on the spec boxes and credits, but apart from that these are nice covers...

Tropical Storm. I'm a bit of a post whore so yes to that question. As for posting my opinions on other covers, I've done that here already a few weeks ago & gotten my head bitten off by one of the residents. I've never let that deter me before though.

HS114. You might want to read why I said the covers may be a little blurry again. The RV cover is centered. What you think isn't centred is an optical illusion. If I was to post a 3d render of it you would see that. I do see that small block you are talking about. Glad I could teach you something. 8834.gif

lulubelle. I agree with you on the credit blocks. I can never quite decide what to leave out & most of it ends up in there. If someone could show me how to make the job tile eg. "director of photography" sit perfectly on 2 lines, the same height as the "name" the way it does on a retail cover I'd be enternally grateful.

I never professed to be the best, which is why I don't go out of my way to make covers for the big hitters such as Superman or Tokyo Slide. I'm happy to download the great work others do for these.

I take the time to make covers for the ones no-one else does. I've done about half an hour of a tutorial 12 months ago & from there have taught myself by seeing what I like about other artists covers, trial & error and feedback received. I learn something new from every cover I make.

Well that's all from me for now.

Cheers

ps. told ya I'm a post whore winking.gif love me or hate me. i'm me.
