That's a bold statement Darksaber but i have to agree what punisher said and did was uncalled for a slap in the face to everything Kernie has done.

It's not a statement, just a symbol of my disgust

Too bad it didn't post what I put right after...it was meant as more of a slap to everyone not paying attention...but whatever. I didn't know you had to pay for resources and things, members have to pay to be on here too. I can understand being burnt out and I wasn't trying to be an a$$hole or anything. It just seems to me that this comes out of you every several months and I totally understand wanting to take a break for real world stuff, but lamenting the fact that this HOBBY hasn't enhanced your life and is no longer enjoyable for fun, I can see why you want to leave. When something you love becomes too much of a job I certainly understand wanting to leave. I know enough to know when I'm not welcome so all of the covers I downloaded of yours and used and left feedback for were all GENUINE and every time I've told you how much I respect your work outside this collection and otherwise I've been honest, I'll go ahead and show myself the door. If you go back in the thread I'm pretty sure Darksaber and RRJR84 have done far more to push your buttons than I have. The one time I have something to say no one gives a crap, so I'm out of this thread and I'm sure you'll all be glad to see me go.

Kernie, you'll always be my favorite designer, I f^%ked that all up so cheers to you and all the best, I wish you well, I truly do. Anyone who can't let me have my opinion can leave it where they found it.

Please know I'm being 100% honest, I don't intend to have any sort of smartass tone, I tried to type more into the shoutbox to explain but it didn't post, and the one I just did in there didn't post either. I nominated some of your work for cover of the year and I didn't do that because it's on my shelf, I did it because it's tremendously creative and skillfull. I'll post pics in the other thread but I'll stay out of this one so all of your other fans don't lynch mob my a$$.

Also, I used your amazing Demon Knight cover and have NO HARD FEELINGS at all about not getting something I requested, that's why it's called a request. I couldn't ask for more from you and won't I didn't know exactly how you felt and I hope we can see each other's point and remain friendly.

Regards,

Chad

It's a bad news, but is the life of Kernie and of course his choice. So take time for you and when you have find a need to make cover come back.

We have only one life : enjoy or die.

Filipe

P.S: sorry for my english

Punisherchad I really don't think i've done more to push Kernie's but except the suggestions in the beginning. In recent times i've out of my way to help Kernie with his comic collections by providing scans and etc. If you look a the way you came across that's why people were mad. Hobby or not the amount of time and work that goes into covers some people would just like to feel more appreciation.

Yes you me and Darksaber and all commented non stop in this thread so that helps. But kernie's burnt out and his personally life has taken a back seat to this hobby and when he spends hours on a cover for only a handful of downloads it can get under peoples skin.

Bottom is we all appreciate Kernie's work not just his comic collection but advice he's given and everything else he has done.

Gentlemen, please stop fighting and putting words into my mouth, or assuming you know exactly what I'm thinking and feeling.

I need to step away because this hobby has been consuming too much of my life and it's not worth getting stressed about. It's as simple as that.

Punisherchad, RRJR84, and Darksaber are all welcome here, as is everybody else. There is no need to demonize anybody for their opinions or make them feel unwelcome.

I feel this whole situation has been blown way out of proportion and my comments have been misinterpreted (I'm not ungrateful, nor am I looking for excessive praise (just a smilie for a downloaded cover is enough)). I've seemed to have made a lot of enemies over this and lost a lot of respect around here, to the point where I feel it will be very difficult to come back.

Please try to understand that this is something I've thought long and hard about, and I need to take a leave of absence to focus on other things. I will return when my personal matters are sorted out and when I'm ready.

Thank you all for understanding. This is the last I'm going to speak on this topic, I hope this puts an end to whatever drama has been unfolding...

- k

Although I prefer the 90's Cap suit compared to military style now this Red Skull is 10x better than the one from the 90's

That 90s Cap film sucked in all ways. By extension, the suit sucked too. I think this new film will be an improvement in every aspect.
