Bonsoir All!

Well kernie when you sent me your last post about this cover you hit a soft spot for the colors you used on the front, blue and orange is probably my favorite mix of contrasty colors so there i went, i'm still not sure about the picture i used on the front what is nice about it is the iceberg we see in the back??? Tried a picture of a big wave in the back you were right too much action, it was too distracting, for the back, it's rather strait and simple, i'm not done with it, still have to put in the credits and fix the legals, i was not sure about a stroke around the pics so i didn't put any, well what do you think of it so far guys, still a bit of work to do , any suggestions about the back is welcomed, mostly about the stills how i should place them, thanks

I think you should use the same TT that you used on your label just so they are matching.
I would remove the Disney Blu-Ray logo from the front.
How about just using an image on the front and then do something different on the back like this...

I like sauron's suggestion about the back, but I'm not sure about the single pic for the front (although I like his reflected TT). A single picture could work, but I don't think a tidal wave is the right image for this film. I haven't seen it, but I'd imagine it's more about the fish and other animals that live in the ocean, so an underwater image showing some sea life is probably better suited. Not that a full-length film of just waves crashing wouldn't be peaceful...
I think you were on to something with your previous post, but with sauron's modifications to the back cover.
And I do agree that the contrast of orange and blue would make the cover more interesting. I think otherwise, things will get too blue too fast... The orange spices it up a little and makes it more eye-catching.
In my opinion, this is a really tough movie to make a cover for, (again... I haven't seen it) but I'm guessing there's no actors, no memorable quotes, or no real plot. So you're left with making a cover out of beautiful nature images. I don't envy you, but I think you're doing an admirable job with this and it's really getting there!

Of course change it to suit the film. I only used that image as it had something to do with the title. I haven't seen this film either so not sure what it is about.
- How about something like this then?
added the shark to the front really badly but you get what im going at... just an idea for Pierre

Hi every 1!
[attachment=14819:Oceans_preview_6.jpg]
here is an update,( and i dearly hope you like it
)Sauron thanks for spotting the font i used on the label TT it will be nicer to have the same one on the cover, i never thought of that, you and Kernie gave me great advice so far and i tried quite a bit of it, the movie is french disney bought the rights for north america or something like that, if you remember the movie about penguins "the emperors walk" or something, the way they describe the action is like there is a story a bit dramatic if you follow me.... anyways al this to explain why i mixed your suggestions, i love the wavy backdrop all over the cover so i restarted with that, on the back the blue rectangle Sauron suggested i did not like so i put an iceberg behind it, a gradient over it and mixed everything up, it gives it a little texture, for the front, loved the idea of a reflection so there it is, and Kernie your right the movie is about life in the oceans and not about water so the belugas are back, why, the color, the risk of extinction for the animals and the ice cap that were loosing, the movie is about that too, great now i wrote a book.
Thanks a bunch for the help!!
ps:
And if you don't like it :chin: well i'll keep working on it

Getting better but with the TT i would make it all lowercase so it is 100% spot on to your label.
Also although you may like the belugas I still think that you should use the image that you have used on your label as it will be matching. As for the back image of the waves, I'm still not sure about them? Maybe use something a bit brighter so it will go with the rest of the artwork available for this movie.

You shrunk the "O" in OCEANS, but you didn't put it in lowercase like your label: "oceans," like sauron suggested.
I think all lowercase might look nice.
Some decent updates in the last day or so!
Can you horizontally center align everything on the spine a bit better? Select the Disney BD logo, Disneynature logo, Oceans, and the serial numbers at the bottom and in the Align toolbar, hit this button:

Sorry if I spelled that out too much, I'm sure you know how to horizontally center align things!
Keep it up, it's looking much better!!!
