Erm Do The Covers Have 2 Be My Own

Hello i love this site and do contribute 2 the forums i was hoping i could gain access this way or of course by uploading covers. Im no artist and was wondering if i have covers that arent my own and are not on this site could i upload those 2 gain access i dont want the credit 4 the cover just the privilage of membership.

The site rules do allow you to upload work that isn't your own, as long as credit is given. However, contributers are members that are noted for contributing to the site. If you are seen to reguarly upload images, then you will be moved into the contributor group!

Never really understood the reasoning behind someone getting free access for uploading other peoples work. After all how difficult is it for someone to download from one site and upload to another? and how is this in any way proving themselves? not that i care either way of course but i think it defeats the object of the forum.

Absolutely agree 100%.

I think people who upload covers/labels that are not there own should have concrete proof (e-mail or something) that the original artist has given them permission to do this.

I don't think it would sit well with members who are trying to gain promotion to the contributors group who are putting in the hours and making covers, particularly novices who are trying to improve and contribute that way.

Hmmmm seems like a no 2 me u see i could try making covers but i know myself they would not be as good as u guys work so that 2 seems like a waste of time but will see what i can do perhaps will try perfect scanning covers.

Couldn,t agree more mate.You can still contribute to the sight in the way of hi res artwork.Again would be nicer if it wasn,t lifted from other sites though.I would also like to see someone type billing blocks as a contribution, as i hate doing them .LOL

Actually I think that's a smashing idea, I wonder if we get any offers. We could open up a thread, for ready typed out credit blocks

I think we all hatecredit blocks, say why not upload the fonts to the D/L section? Anyway I still think it would be a great contribution.

This is an idea that has been put into place on another site and seems to be a success.

It's a bit bloddy lazy, but if it helps CC and his problem with spelling then I think we should consider it.
