Okay, so judging by the lack of response to the last batch of updates, there's probably not going to be much interest in this one either: the craptacular 1979 animated series loosely based on "The Thing!" There's no Fantastic Four, no Marvel villains that I'm aware of, and a teenage Ben "Benjy" Grimm transforms into the Thing by putting two rings together. WTF?? I wish today's cartoon writers had access to the same mind-altering substances that were apparently readily available in the 1970s. At least that might explain all the Pokemon crap... So yeah, they made the cartoon, so I had to make the damn cover, and now I give it to you.

Enjoy? :D :D :D

Should be in the gallery soon. ;)

The Thing: The Complete 1979 Animated Series:

Current Collection Count: 274 DVD's, 108 Blu-rays!!

P.S. Anybody able to help me out with scans of the package art for Clearvision's 1970's Fantastic Four cartoon?

That's cool, that's the last cover I would have expected you to make. I've never seen this cartoon only know about it for quite some time. Great job on the cover I really like the TT looks really cool. Your gonna please some more die hard marvel fans with this one. I wasn't really a fan of the 70's FF cartoon so i don't imagine this one would much better but with way great job, i'm surprised your were able to even find resources or this cartoon.

Wasn't planning on it since the two films were released on DVD separately and only combined together for the Blu-ray. Don't want to really get into the habit of making spacesavers, because then the requests to combine one cover with another will never stop. And I've still got a long to-do list of new covers ahead of me before I start worrying about combo packs.

Sorry. :(

no problem i understand, in fact i expect this to be your reply ;) , i can always just change those blue ray logo into dvd logo and use my dvd program to have it printed out dvd size :)

The Blu-rays of Hellboy, The Crow and Judge Dredd look great I especially like Hellboy, but I have them on DvD and have no plans to buy any of them on Blu-ray, sorry :(

I never even saw that you made the Stardust cover, and like RRJR84 didn't even know it was based on a graphic novel, another one to add to the collection, love the gothic scripture of the logo on the back :)

Whoa, The Thing, totally unexpected, this corny Hanna Barbera cartoon was actually titled Fred and Barney Meet the Thing, it was an hour show in two separate halves, though it was titled as such Fred and Barney never actually met the Thing the two cartoons never crossed over :)

The Thing as Kernie mention was very loosely based on the Marvel Character

I've only found 15 of the original 26 11min episodes, and they aren't the best quality, but watchable and now I have a cover to put them in

So thank you very much, the TT looks fabulous :)

Yeah, ask about a Tales from the Crypt movie double feature (the only way to get it new) :) :) :) ;)

I didn't even know there was a Thing cartoon, that's amazing! Judge Dredd will come on blu here just in time for the release of the new flick next year. I'd say ditto for the Crow if they get that reboot a new director before it dies for good. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A STARDUST COVER FOREVER! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Haven't forgotten about your request, I'm just trying to think of a way to do it with the keyart that's available. I've started a cover for the "third" movie, "Ritual," but am having a hard time with it at the moment. When I get back to it, I plan to do your double feature cover and upload them both at the same time.

And I might just convert the Blu-ray Hellboy Animated into a DVD, it really won't take that long.

But these are exceptions that I'm making. I'd really rather not be flooded with requests for other spacesaver super-happy combo packs. :D :D :D

Fantastic update, thanks again.

Especially for Judge Dredd, I actually got the Blu-ray yesterday!
Such a shame the director's cut of that movie is still gathering dust in a vault somewhere.
Counting days till the upcoming Judge Dredd movie starring Karl Urban, which promises to be a proper Judge Dredd movie!

Also, cheers for Stardust!
I hadn't read that when I saw the movie, which blew me away.
