Okay, so I'll admit... this one is insanely early, but since this artwork popped up over at Customaniacs (thanks to goldenwolf for posting it!), I really wanted to make a cover using it! So here it is... Blu-ray and DVD covers for next summer's "Green Lantern" movie!!

I really liked this new promo art that WB released along with the trailer a few weeks ago. If an even cooler poster is unveiled closer to the film's release, I'll probably make an alternate cover using that as well.

Anyway... here they are, enjoy!! :D :D :D

(Now come on, Marvel... give us some sweet Thor, Cap, and X-Men: First Class posters already!!)

Green Lantern (2011):

For those keeping count: 269 DVD's, 102 Blu-rays!! :D :D

Awe that's cruel, :) we still have to wait another 6 months to see this, let alone being able to use the cover, it'll probably be September before it come out on DvD/Blu-ray :(

On the plus side though this is a great looking cover, you made good use of the artwork, moving the image of the Green Lantern across to the left so you see, what I think is Sinestro.

I saw the trailer the other week and I'm looking forward to seeing the actual film.

Did anyone see the Fan edited version of the trailer, it makes the film look even better :)

Really nice work Andrew :)

Thanks guys! Sorry to tease you with a Green Lantern cover so soon, but I figured I'd get it out the way now. Is it the first thing for this movie in our gallery? I haven't checked... (going to check now... :D :D :D ) EDIT: Yup, first cover for 2011 GL, yay!!

Actually... I have a new Macbook Pro (500 GB HD) with several external drives connected (I do a lot of video work as well, so I need lots of space). I have a 1 TB external HD for editing, a 400 GB HD which is nearly full with all my cover psds, a 120 GB just for music, and two disconnected "backup" drives (one is 200 GB, the other 300 GB) that I use to backup old projects. Plus a few books of burnt DVD-R's, but I don't burn discs for backup anymore because they're too easily scratched. I just buy new HD's when I need more space. Oh... and a 16 GB USB Flash drive for transferring larger video files to the guys I do freelance work for. I think that's it... maybe...

Sorry for answering what may have been a rhetorical question... :P

Oh, and Darksaber... yes, I believe that is Sinestro on the cliff in the background. Zooming in on the original image reveals his big, pink head (that sounds so wrong... :laughin: ).

I think Josh (SXS) will do something for you Andrew... he already did this beauty so let's hope he decides to do something with Thor character...

I've resized the original file to avoid leechers!

Thanks, Arky! But I'd rather not use another designer's custom work for my covers. Just don't feel right about it... studio-released keyart is one thing, but I'll let SXS do his own thing with own custom art.

Whatever he does will be far better than what I can come up with anyway... :D
