It's really does seem like Marvels version of Justice League Unlimited with all the characters but that's one of things I really like about it. I hope it's last longer than the other recent marvels shows like Wolverine and The X-men and Spectacular Spider-man.
I think having Disney XD airing the show (and as owner of Marvel, profiting from the show) will help Avengers' chances of having a longer life than WATXM and SSM.
I've been following the show and have been enjoying it. Unfortunately, I think WATXM and SSM held my interest a bit better. I like what Avengers is doing and it's easily better than the '90's toon (Small Wonder was better than that garbage) and the Ultimate movies. I especially like that they're sticking to the "classic" character designs and not using some of the current, Ultimates character stuff.
However, there's just something about the show that feels "cheap" to me. Maybe it's because I love how Justice League used actual film and television actors to voice their characters, as opposed to Marvel's heavy reliance upon the same stable of voice actors. Nothing against the voices on the show, but they're far from the "iconic" voices of Kevin Conroy's Batman, Clancy Brown's Lex Luthor, or heck... even Cal Dodd's Wolverine from the 1992 X-Men series.
I also think there's some pacing issues, with some episodes ending rather abruptly, but overall, I think Marvel's doing a decent job trying to bring their entire universe to a single animated series (besides Super Hero Squad, that is).
As good as Avengers is, did anyone catch the sneak peek "movie" of Young Justice? With a solid premiere and Greg "Gargoyles" Weisman behind it, I think Young Justice could end up rivaling JLU (although it lacks the classic Conroy Batman).
And well... Walking Dead? What more is there to say? It reminds you of how insanely awesome serialized television can be when it's done right. With "Lost" off the air, I'm glad there's a new hourlong drama to hold my attention. I'd even go so far as to say that "Walking Dead" has me more hooked than "Lost" ever did.

Has anyone seen the Iron Man anime? Two episodes have aired so far I think, I've only watched the first one, but it's pretty cool. It kinda stays in line with the Iron Man movies (from what I've seen) it looks pretty "realistic", he even has the exact same suit. I was pretty excited to see some american superheros animated in super detailed japanese style.
There's also a trailer for a Wolverine anime but, that one I'm afraid strays too much from source... Logan looks like the tipical anime/androgynous/emo/rocker more than a rough guy, but we'll see....

Where can Iron Man anime be seen? I heard about it a few years ago when it was first announced, but hadn't heard much since. What channel carries it?
EDIT: JollyRoger... wide spine versions of all 4 "Adventures of Superman" covers are now available in the gallery. Enjoy!!

I never much cared for Teen Titans. I just couldn't stand the random bursts of animé exaggeration that they felt the need to throw in all the time. So I'm very happy with the more mature tone that Young Justice seems to be going for. I was very pleased with the premiere episode and I'm glad that they aren't keeping the adult heroes out of the picture like they did on Titans. Judging from the first two episodes, it's certainly DC's best animated series since JLU ended a few years ago.
I'll try to put together a cover eventually, but it's probably best I wait until the show actually starts airing and a full episode list is available.
Also, I don't want to spoil the surprise, but I should have some new treats for animation fans coming down the line in a few days...

How lovely would it be if they actually made animated features sporting - Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns - and how about Kingdom Come as a bonus!?

Apparently, the DC Universe line of animated movies is adapting Batman: Year One for release in September 2011! Not quite the Dark Knight Returns, but it's a start. I wasn't too thrilled with the earlier DCU movies, but they've started to find their groove and the most recent ones have been really spot on!
