I sent striker 2 pms and and I left a comment on 2 of my scans he took from another site and he first time he ignored my pm and deleted my comments, the second he banned me all together that was the quickest membership I've had for a cover site.
As for the covers on R1 I really don't think too much that can be done for what's there but maybe in the future we save some of the other covers.
Since we started this I think at least 10 to 20 tings from there have been uploaded over here including stuff from

Bazzah
Sleepyheas and i'm sure more.

Not to continue beating this horse to death, but new uncredited covers are popping up over at R1DB again... now Iron Man (I noticed Randy Sherifu's) and Inglorious Basterds (ShokXone's).
And a thanks to everyone who's chimed in to lend their kind words. Several people have replied or PM'd me with many nice things to say and encouraging advice. To be honest, I know I've been grumpy today. Waking up to find more of my stuff over at R1DB started my day off on the wrong foot and it never quite improved from there. I'll probably lay low for a bit, focus on some other projects and try to keep covermaking as a fun hobby and not a stressful obsession.
However, my galleries will remain closed until I receive word from Fubs that his new tricks are in effect or until this recent wave of uploading dies down over at R1. I know some folks might not mind that their stuff if getting taken without permission, but I've worked too long and hard on my comic book collection and it's something I take too much pride in to let someone come along and rip them off. Hires is my home and I want my collection to be a reason that new members join our fine and honest community here. If they can get my covers elsewhere, they have no reason to come here and join our happy little colony.

I know of one other major artistic-oriented site... DeviantArt...
And there their artists work is respected and appreciated. And they too have artwork that is derrived from some sort of copy-written material.

Clearly e started it because he was interested in cover art... So his lack of respect is terrible!

And his explanation on why they can't be deleted with the '404 error' is total crap... that could be fixed with some simple programming!

I think I've said this before (I've said so much today), but thanks again to the staff here for showing us designers that we are appreciated! It's always nice to know that you have our backs when issues like this one arise.
If nothing else, I hope this incident has alerted some of the Hires/R1DB dual contributors to the shenanigans that are going on over there and causes them to think twice about contributing to a site that shows such a blatant disregard for the wishes of the hard-working designers.

This is defiantly my fav cover site of all, if it wasn't for Kernie I would have never been able to accomplish what I have here at hires. The only reason I even joined R1 is because my artwork was being posted there without my permission and I was given credit for any thing I made.
That's how I stumbled across R1 back in October, I joined because I figured another cover site can't hurt and if my stuff's gonna be posted I should be the one to post it, not some one else.

I'm really not happy with situation and after seeing how more stuff is there I won;t be uploading anymore stuff there. If covers are posted there without my consent than the must need them more than I do.

Jayhawk... when you read this, you will surely delete it as you don't want your site to look bad, but you have done that already by accepting stolen work.
We may not own the rights to our covers, as the resources we used for it belong to someone else... But we are no more thieves than the 5-year-old kid who draws a picture of his favorite superhero. We are creating fan art for the movies we love and providing them to others to show off on their shelves.
Just as that little kid should get respect for what he drew, so should we as designers have respect for what we create.
A policy that does not allow a designer to have his work removed if uploaded by someone else, is one of a childish nature, and is only made in order to maintain a site's content, and not it's reputation.
I hate that my hard earned money has gone to support a site that does not support me back...
So, I ask that you please close my account... but since your policy is set, please enjoy my covers, I worked really hard on them and am really proud of them!
