Since someone at R1DB has just uploaded a bunch of my other covers and credited me incorrectly as kerine82 (based on one of RRJR's typos), I have set my albums here to be viewed by "Me only." The next step will be deleting them entirely if this persists...

This d-bag is ruining it for everyone...

My friend... relax and enjoy your life! Cover making is just an hobby!!
Why quiting? You're recently new to this world, this kind of sheet is always happening. In the end we still are here :)

Look at Tim (Bunny)! His work was always uploaded to every site, people even cuted part of his work to upload as their own poster art to gain credits... and he's still here with us, doing what he likes!
Same for me, Darren, Rob, Freddy and others!

Relax and forget about this!
People here enjoy your work and you as a person/artist so chill out and keep doing some new covers so i can print a few ;)

I am only a member here and Fuzion... I feel the more sites you join, the more your covers will go bye bye..

I disagree. I believe that your covers where already uploaded to other sites, without you knowing about it. ;)

And it DOES SUCK THE BULLOCKS!!!

JUst to add my worthless 2 cents to the mix...

I've over the last year or 2 had some of my covers stolen from here and uploaded to R1Db as well (so the coverthiefs aren't picky... they steal anything :) ) and when i requested to have them removed I got the same song and dance number as the rest of you... Now as the swedish cover scene is all but dead I'd like to keep the few covers i have here and only here on Hires. I've been in contact with our great staff here at hires when i've noticed coverthefts but Im not sure if it has led to anything.

Jayhawks attitude is killing his own site.... and is it just me who finds it sort of peculiar that he want's to keep things "free" but at the same time sells credits for downloads...

Things must be getting desperate there as i've never seen this many obvious thefts before... I place my faith and trust in Bazzah and Fubs sorting this out for us so we all can enjoy Kernies covers again...

And now back to our regular broadcasts...

Call me a newbie, but isn't there any legal (court/lawyer) action you can take against those dirt bags? If PM don't work and reason doesn't either I figure you could hit them in their pocket books. Most people understand that. I am sorry to see Kernie82 leave, I did get hooked on his covers. :ashamed: I understand his reasons tho.

I only joined multiple sites like R1 and covers q because my stuff was already uploaded there and i figured if my stuff's going to be there then I should join and at least get credit for my own work. For me my covers being all over isn't a problem i would just like my named attached or to be asked if they can be uploaded else where.

Creating covers is as far as i understood it in a legal gray area. Some of the images used are copyrighted material and are in essence prohibited from being reproduced, changed etc as you do when you create a cover. But as covers can be seen as fanart they end up in a grey area where i don't think any lawyer would try and pursue the copyright laws as they are more in tribute to the original artwork and movie.

But claiming copyright and such for a cover... hmm no wouldn't fly
