The Comic Book Collection by Kernie
Hi Andrew, nice to see you around and thanks for RED
I don't believe that the interest is waning, I think it's down to a number of factors, first your swamped with with this semester work, secondly I still believe there are plenty of covers to do, but the fact that the artwork is not available to do those covers, hinders things a little, and thirdly it's a combination of 1 and 2 which equals time.
We'll be here waiting for your return

Thanks for the continued support, everyone! It's nice to know there's at least some interest left in this collection while I struggle to find time to add new covers!
Here's one that I've been anxiously sitting on since July: Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, which premieres tonight in the US on Disney XD! I had most of this cover complete months ago, around the time that the Comic Con trailer was released (which I used for the screengrabs on the back).
I wanted to wait until artwork from the comic book tie-in became available (which it did last week), but unfortunately, I don't have a complete (or official) episode list for the first 26-episode season yet. Rather than wait even longer until all the episode titles are announced, I've decided to upload this cover in its incomplete form and update it with the episode list at a later date. Sound fair? So for those of you who love to point out my errors (how dare you
), the missing episode list was intentional.
Because it's airing in HD, I've included a Blu-ray cover (the 100th Blu-ray cover in the collection, by the way!) and have assumed that Marvel's recent deal to have Shout Factory release "Super Hero Squad" would apply to "Avengers" as well. If that changes and the retail release is done by another studio, I'll update that as well.
I've also included a Spine Preview of the whole series, which I noticed I haven't done for quite some time.
Anyway, enjoy the latest cover as I eagerly await tonight's premiere of (what looks to be) a great Marvel Universe series!
Enjoy!

No worries, I assume most people will wait until the cover is finished, but I wanted to post this because 1) I really like how it came out and wanted to get it posted ASAP and 2) to avoid the sea of requests that will inevitably follow once the series premieres.![]()

Thanks for the comments, everyone! It's good to start getting back into the groove!
Anybody have any thoughts on last night's premiere of Avengers?
I skipped most of the micro-episodes and didn't realize how much they established certain characters and situations, so I was a bit lost. But I think Disney XD is airing the micros as full episodes on Sunday, so I'll catch up I guess. Otherwise, it looks like Marvel's trying their best to do their version of Justice League Unlimited, but we'll see how well that works out as the season continues. All in all, I think the show has definite potential.
If nothing else, it's nice to see the big four (Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Cap (although I guess he wasn't unfrozen as of last night's premiere)) on the Avengers roster, as opposed to that D-list team from 1999's Avengers: United They Stand.
I'd love to hear others' thoughts so it doesn't look like I'm talking to myself.
