Evans (Cap), Downey (Iron Man), Hemsworth (Thor), Johannson (Black Widow), Renner (Hawkeye), Jackson (Nick Fury), Gregg (Agent Coulson), and the recently recast Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk?! Ruffalo's an upgrade in my opinion, I liked Norton's take, but Ruffalo was the $#!t in Zodiac. My inner-12-year-old is geeking out that we might actually see an Avengers flick that builds its lineup through solo movies.

Just a heads up that I updated my Wolverine and the X-Men from saying "Season 1" to "The Complete Series," since unfortunately, we won't be getting a second season. I've also added a "Disc 6" DVD label, in case anybody's been buying the individual Lionsgate releases.

Fortunately, however, Lionsgate is releasing the complete series on Blu-ray in the fall, so I've also provided a set of Blu-ray covers and labels.

Wolverine and the X-Men is an excellent show, why the hell they've cancelled it, I don't know, but I recommend it

It was a damn good show, solid animation and an intriguing storyline (which is more than I can say for 90's X-Men, which had cheap animation which led to the abandoning of serialized stories in later seasons).

I heard a number of reasons for the cancellation, the first of which being that a major financier for the series went bankrupt, so basically they lost their funding (why nobody else didn't pick it up, I don't know). And I think the Disney/Marvel merger had something to do with it (Disney doesn't like to share profits with other companies, it seems). The same thing happened to Spectacular Spider-Man, I believe, which is why we'll soon be getting the Disney-produced Ultimate Spider-Man.

That's what has happened to a lot of cartoons in the last 20 years not just marvel cartoons but lots of others. it's ridiculous there should be some kind of back-up plan to fish a series or season at least so people aren't left wandering what happens next.

I didn't even know these were cancelled, too bad for Wolverine, I'll try to give it a watch, but now I'm looking forward to that new Spider-Man series, hopefully better than (Spectacular Spidey)

That's going to be tough. I think Spectacular Spidey was about as close of a perfect adaptation as we're going to get. It meandered a bit in its second season by just bringing back old villains and not introducing enough new ones, but it was a very well done show. I loved the '90s show when it aired, but it hasn't aged well and by the end of its run, about 30% of any given episode was repurposed footage from earlier episodes (talk about cheap, lazy animation).

As for RRJR84's comments, unfortunately I think "leaving people wondering what happens next" is the last thing (some) studios worry about. It's all about the money and profitability. The success of a show's toy line and merchandise is more key to a show's survival than the quality of the show itself. We should have all bought more "Wolverine and the X-Men" lunchboxes if we wanted it to survive. At least Wolverine & The X-Men wrapped up its season-long story arc very well, although I'm very very bummed that we won't get to see the Age of Apocalypse, Cable, and some of the other things that the end of Season 1 teased us with.

Anyone else see the leaked Thor footage from Comic Con? I really, really can't wait to have the entire Avengers universe of movies in my collection.

You heard it here first... I predict that in two to three years, we're going to see a lot of "Complete Avengers" cover sets floating around this site, including all the films that comprise Marvel's cinematic universe!
