I don't think this is working. And i don't like to see a green back with a blue front/spine, the tones don't match.
I do insist with you about the typography. You have two different styles on this and imo (most probably Kernie and UBL will agree with me) you need to decide what font style you'll use. Trajan and the serif font don't match. But up to you on this dude, you have my 2 cents again.

EDIT: wha«'s up with that quote? If you don't plan to use a barcode you need to extend the quote using the empty space above Yoda's head.

Thanks Arkflip :thumb: I put in a barcode, I changed the spine so it is more of a bridge between the tones. For the font I just need a different Stanhope because mine is in all caps, and I think thats why it didn't work before, Ill just make a request for Stanhope fonts. And bud thank you and everyone else for bringing me this far!

My two cents (which has probably added up to about 16 cents total)...

Why the barcode on a custom cover? I know some designers use them, but I see no functional purpose since your cover won't be getting scanned at Best Buy or Target any time soon. I feel (and hopefully other members will post their opinions on this) that barcodes just take away valuable space that could be used for the actual design. And if you do keep the barcode, ditch the Star Wars logo on it... there's no reason for it and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I'm glad you reverted to the Serif Trajan font for Special Features. Like Arkflip said, font consistency is a big factor in making a professional-looking design. But one thing Arkflip: I think you're confusing usage of the word "serif." Trajan is a serif font (you said in your last post that they don't match), unless I'm misunderstanding you (which is possible... it's late and I'm tired). Sans serif (which I'm assuming you know means "without serifs") is the type of font he's using currently on the synopsis and critic quote. I don't mean to sound condescending, as I absolutely respect you personally and as a designer, but I'd hate to see your solid advice get misunderstood by nikerun. Sorry... :(

And I kind of agree with Arky about the greenish hue of the back. Can you overlay a cooling filter or do some Hue/Saturation adjustment layer over the whole back to give a slighter blue-ish hue? Don't go overboard, but I think you make it work without comprising image quality.

I need to learn to type less... sorry... :( :D

P.S. This is definitely turning into one of the best Star Wars covers I've seen! And I don't even like Star Wars that much! :P

Actually you have three distinct colours: the blue, the green - and the orange from Luke on the spine. How about implementing all three colours on the front and back - you could just use them as background ligt - sorta like a flame in blue green and orange. If done rightit could make your front pop even more.

I think the back image has gotten a bit too dark and did you try the Trajan font on the critic quote (maybe with Small Caps)?

And I still hate the bar code...

Other than that... I can't believe how far this cover has come since your first post. You should be very very proud!! :D :D

I think something like this will work better. I used your cover (sorry for that) and only changer the brightness (+50) and the contrast (-50).
I've also tried Trajan for the quote and Stanhope for the synopsis and honestly i really think you need to change your font choice for the quote, but it's your cover, your decision.
