Member Groups

Banned - Members who have broken site rules, and no longer have access to the site.

Member - Someone who has validated their email address, but has not yet been promoted. (No access to the full sized images)

**Advanced Members - Full gallery access**

Subscriber - Someone who has paid for a subscription to the site. (Full access to the entire site, excluding those areas designated as private for staff and Designer groups.) Once advanced content has been downloaded from the site, refunds will not be available.

Contributor - Someone who has contributed sufficient resources and/or covers/labels, but has not yet reached Designer status. Contributors are appointed at admin's discretion, or via the prove yourself thread. Contributors who do not upload enough content over a 12 month period, will have their account returned to a standard member. For more information, please see here. As with subscribers, once advanced content has been downloaded, contributed content will not be removed from the site, as this content was provided as an exchange for site content.

Label Designer - Someone who designs labels, and does not need their gallery submissions monitoring.

Cover Designer - Someone who designs covers, and does not need their gallery submissions monitoring.

Scanner - Someone who specializes in advanced cover scans.

Advanced Designer - Someone who specialises in advanced cover design, and does not need their gallery submissions monitoring.

Master Designer - A high caliber designer, that does not need monitoring, that design labels and covers. There is a maximum of 10 Master Designers allowed.

Moderator - Site staff, who are here to assist you with any problems, and assist maintaining the daily running of the site.


How are the group members chosen?

All decisions are made by the site staff and designers. If you feel you should be in a particular group, please notify a member of staff (Administrator or [url=http://www.hirescovers.net/forum/index. ... _name&st=0" target="new">Moderator group), or visit the Prove Yourself rules.

Promotion to a new group canbe suggested by anyone. Contributor applications are put to a vote by all the designers and moderators in a private section of the forum, only accessible by those groups.

Master Designer decisions are voted upon by the existing Master Designers and staff. All decisions are made by private vote and majority wins. In all promotion cases Admin will always make the final decision and may decide to promote based on the best interest of the site without a poll.

Maintaining your status

Once promoted to a group you agree to regularly upload cover art to sustain your status. Failing to do so will result in an automatic warning, to notify you that you are falling behind on your contributions. After that, your account will be demoted. For more information, please read the

Today we have introduced a new group, called 'Advanced Designers'. This is to set apart those cover designers that take their designs to the next level. We have also introduced a 'pip' system (the coloured lights under the group name) to represent the advancement of each group.
