I'd be more inclined to think that your "friend" is just trying to get free photos.
And as TS states the work is the legal property of the photographer therefore giving advice here in how to overcome the copy protection watermark is akin to telling how to copy protected dvd's.

I'm with irrob on the accurate specs issue, nothing worse than a nice cover or label being ruined by stupid errors that come from a lack of paying attention and spending a few minutes at imdb.
And how many times am I going to see people use a popular label template that has "universal" but missing ...

Coming in to this late with a different view, the covers are very, very similiar but a fair bit of work has been put in to duplicate the look venome used as opposed to making minor alterations.
