Thank you very much @Speedz0r, I'll keep what you mentioned in mind. I don't fully know how to make major improvements yet, but I'm learning as I go.

Not bad. I agree about the red on the top of the back being too "dominant". May I also suggest adding some texture to the back, so it's not just a solid color. It would give it a little something extra. I would also use a different font for the synopsis and try to reduce the amount of "water falls (gaps) in the synopsis.

I should have been clearer, sorry. I meant coordinate it with the main colours of the cover you are making.

Your colour choice could be led by what the dominant colour is for the artwork you are using at the time. This example is darker blues and greys, but you could change this as and when, depending on the main colour palette for each new cover. Hope this makes sense.

maybe try a dark grey

Thanks for your reply, Bazzah. I haven't been in this part of the forum for a while. That red part, I figured it was because of the Netflix logo, but obviously it didn't turn out the way I thought. I'll have to change it — what color would you suggest...

Hey bud. It has been a few years :) This is very good work indeed. Looks very professional. The only thing that bothers me, is the large red square on the back. My eyes were drawn to that before anything else, and IMO your eyes should be drawn to the artwork first. Maybe you could try colour coordinating the red with the cover?

Hi everyone

I'm a hobbyist designer and I've been working on a collection of Blu-ray covers. I've created a base template that I use for my designs, but I feel it could still use a lot of improvement.

I'd really appreciate it if more experienced designers here could take a look and share their thoughts. Any feedback on typography, composition, spacing, visual effects, or technical details would be greatly appreciated.

I've attached my current template below. I'm open to constructive criticism — whether it's praise or pointing out things that should be completely redone. Anything helps me learn and grow.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to check it out. I truly appreciate any feedback, from technical details to creative suggestions.

Cheers, and thanks for your help
